i think my favorite thing abt amc devil’s minion is just that they would be so happy together. like yeah “transformation trauma” and “this time i won’t save your life” but there is so much bad in their lives and each other are not entirely one of those bad things. we should all be lucky enough to have just one person who chooses to understand us. who latches on with everything they’ve got even if it seems obsessive, toxic, whatever other negative words you wanna use. even if it is all of those things. something something steve rogers in the winter solider saying he didn’t date bc he couldn’t find someone with “shared life experience”

so often anne rice, bless her heart, describes a vampire with words like white, preternatural, extraordinary, different, other. but next to no one embodies any of that better than armand. haunted stare, incongruent body language, strange stilted manner of speaking. more than just his past experiences and trauma but his present, everything is out of order and it shows. he is not human and assad zaman makes me feel that every second he’s on screen.
