Groose had his own arc offscreen with subtle hints to his progression each time you meet with him and I love him

YES!!!! we all need to appreciate groose. he took that “chosen one” bullshit to the face and said “I’m gonna help whether or not destiny said I could.”

and the fact he realized... Link’s not his enemy, he’s helping. They both want Zelda to be alright. They both love her. So of course!! standing by his side in the big fights instead of standing in his way is what will get their friend back safe and sound!!

    Valentine had its fair share of drama.

    It didn’t seem like it would, all mud and livestock, but if there wasn’t some drunk shoving someone down the stairs from the local saloon, it was some O’Driscoll sneering at him from some street corner. It was like every other damn town. So, it wasn’t all that much of a SURPRISE that Arthur heard some sort of commotion from where he was riding in from the trail, looking to pass through and up into the mountains to do some hunting. Yet, that didn’t mean his CURIOSITY wasn’t caught at the yelling. However, he was expecting to see some poor fool being cornered by the two men, not the child that was struggling in their hold.

    It had his expression tightening in CONFUSION, and, much as he liked to pretend that he didn’t care much about the goings on around him, he found himself dismounting from Vik once he was close enough.

    “Hey!” he barked, tilting his head, “Y’ two morons so weak you’ve resorted t’ fightin’ children?”

he has stopped in the middle of the road, distracted by a scent. something strong; fish, definitely. but there was something else, too. though his sight has not yet returned, his smell was enough to lead him down the brook and away from that child companion of his. he kneels by the water, and feels around for something. for the source of that scent, of course. that musty, dirty scent that also carried with it that rank stench of wet unwashed fur.

he, of course, had smelled out a cat. a brown one that carried in its mouth a fish that had met an unlucky demise. the cat stares at hyakkimaru intently, and while he is staring right back at it, he cannot help but want dororo to come see. and so, he turns back - kneeling, of course - and spots that small silver aura up the small hill back on the road,

and for once, his brow is mildly arched, eyes slightly wide, as though he were making a grand discovery for the very first time.

“ cat. come see. it smells nice. friendly. like you. ...i want to keep it.“

PACING AND DECIDING WHEN SOMETHING HAS OVERSTAYED IS WELCOME IS VERY IMPORTANT. Also I recommend that you have an end-goal in mind and have already planned out the steps to get to it. I did this when hosting my event in 2018

I MEAN YEAH I HAVE ALL THAT STUFF PLANNED OUT, I HAVE AN INTRO READY, I HAVE A THING IN MIND FOR WHAT MY ANTAGONIST’S PLAN IS, AND WHAT THE ENDING OF THE EVENT IS GOING TO BE.

I’M JUST REALLY NERVOUS ABOUT ACTUALLY DOING MY EVENT CUZ LIKE I HAVE NOT ONCE EVER DONE ANYTHING EVEN SIMILAR TO THIS BEFORE AND I’M SUPER NERVOUS ABOUT IT CUZ OTHER EVENTS I’VE SEEN LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD LIKE MULTIPLE PEOPLE HELPING HOST IT AND SHIT AND IT’S LIKE I’M ONLY ONE PERSON HOSTING THIS, I’M ALONE, OTHER THAN ONE PEEP WHO HELPED ME PLAN THE EVENT, BUT IT’S LIKE, AM I DOING IT RIGHT?????????
