I'm super type A, so even as a kid, I sort of planned out my future, and the goals and dreams I was going to achieve - I grew up singing and performing and entertaining, so I had always imagined myself being a musician. I thought I would be a singer who would tour the globe, but then I got introduced to acting. I was actully against it when I was a teenager because I wanted things to be the way I planned it in my head. But I said, "OK, I'll give it a go, and I'll keep an open mind." Sure enough, I was totally taken by surprise that I enjoyed it as much as I did, and from then on, things shifted and I had a new interest, something to explore. But that's how life's interesting, you sort of take a left turn, and then everything works out for the best.
