Something about this sequence of lyrics reminds me about Ludger’s arc in Tales of Xillia 2, especially the first one, it reminds me of the true ending.

In most cases, this is definitely Van. Less that Guy won’ttalk about him at all, but he won’t talk about him honestly. If Van ever comes up in conversation, chances are it’sgoing to be negative or remorseful. He doesn’t identify strongly with either ofthose emotions and so his views on Van don’t exactly line up with nearly anyoneelse’s—knowing that, he doesn’t try to add much to any conversation his formerguard might come up in.

Others along this same line of thought are likely to be Maryand his parents—although he doesn’t have many memories of them, there’s rarelya need for him to bring them up. Again, he won’t outright refuse to speak aboutthem, but he won’t say much in general. Specific people may be able to get moreout of him than most, but that’s purely speculation.

“Oh, you do, Ludger?” Jude couldn’t help but turn a pretty significant shade of pink, from his cheeks right up to the tips of his ears, “Alright, but I should warn you, I haven’t done a whole lot of it before.  Never really had the time.”  After looking at Ludger for a few moments longer, Jude finally leaned in and pressed a slightly clumsy kiss to Ludger’s lips, his posture tense.  He pulled away after a few moments, blushing even more furiously.“So, ah, I hope that was alright.”

“You seriously got tangled up there?” Alvin stood back a moment, admiring the mess that was Ludger Will Kresnik hanging precariously with his legs tangled in a mass of trees and vines. “I’m gonna guess the cat got away?”

No answer, just a frown and a bit of a blush. “Well, guess I could get you down...” Alvin stepped closer, pulling his gun from the holster. But before doing anything further, he stepped closer, catching Ludger’s lips in a brief kiss before stepping back and shooting at the vines, watching as his companion fell to the ground with a comedic yelp.

“Payment received. You’re free to go.”
