Now, it wasn’t very often that Bane actively showed appreciation, so the impressed look in his eyes was about as rare as the shiniest jewels. He had no knowledge of this boy’s abilities, of his skill or his inclinations. None of that really mattered at this point, either. Picking his teeth idly, the lanky Duros waved lightly towards the boy as he passed by.

Atsuki looked horribly out of place on the beach. He was still wearing his ordinary clothes. He hadn’t even bought anything more suitable for a beach yet. He had his jacket off but he still felt like he was roasting to death.

A beach ball ended up being tossed in his direction, so he picked it up and threw it back in the direction it came from... but instead of going back to its owner, the ball hit an unsuspecting stranger right in the head.

“Uh... sorry!” Atsuki called out. “Are you okay?”
