A duros was never anything he had heard of before in the open sea, let alone anything he would have read in his world. Reading was never something he actively did. Books put the pirate to sleep. However, this guy reminded him of someone…but who? Perhaps a marine, or one of his crew? No, not right. He would think about it when it comes to it.
“ I am a pirate! In my world, I am aiming to be king of the pirates, and find the worlds greatest treasure! What about you, duro-guy?”
Being king of the pirates did mean having the worlds best treasure, but it also meant for him to be the most free in the open sea. Not command all the pirates, but be the most spirited man in the waters. With his crew, who was not here at the moment. Stretching his body a bit, before looking at the side of the man’s neck. Were those gills?
Instantly, Bane’s mouth twisted downwards in disgust. A pirate? One of those filthy, grubbing mongrels who didn’t even understand the goal of obtaining riches? Don’t get Bane wrong, of course -- he knew he was just as much of a scumbag as any pirate, but at least he had a certain understanding of living that pirates never would.
“King’a the pirates, eh...? You’re sure starting to sound idealistic there, huh?”
For now, he wouldn’t read to much into it. He wasn’t one much for arguing, and besides, there were more important questions being asked.
“....M’a bounty hunter, kid. Know what that is?”
