Everything is so dark... how long has the light been gone?
Despite the long, dark years you spent in the great in-between, you could still vividly remember what the sun felt like. Long, blissful summer days where its light bathed your skin, and it's warmth held your hand.
"I want it to stay like this forever!"
You could never forget the way he smiled at you as he pulled you along, hand in hand, to some secret place where the two of you could be alone away from the prying eyes of the other elves. Yes, he was your sun, his smile and laugh so bright you almost had to squint. You and Lufulu were inseparable, and that's exactly how you wanted it to be.
I wanted it to be like that forever...
Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be that way. By some cruel fate, you were ripped away from him, killed with the rest of your clan by the evil humans. But it wasn't quite the end... even thoughout the long, dark wait, you flt bursts of warmth, memories of what the sun felt like.

Your name echoed in your ears, taking a moment to fully register.
With a gasp, your eyes opened. The night sky was above you, dotted with stars. You could smell smoke somewhere in the distance, but you were distracted by the person crouched beside you. You nearly screamed in surprise, but your breath caught in your throat when you realized who it was.
The boy's mouth turned into a smile, that same, bright smile you could never forget.
You blinked, sitting up with his help, tears pricking at your eyes. "I-I don't-" You shook your head in disbelief. "How is this possible?"
"We've been given a new chance at life!" Lufulu explained with a grin, looking excited. "The two of us... we'll be together forever now!"
"...together..." Slowly, you matched his grin. "Forever!"
With a giggle, he took your hand and pulled you to your feet. Without hesitation, you threw yourself into his arms, meeting his lips in a passionate, long-awaited kiss. "You know, though," you said when you pulled back. "All this time... despite being dead, I didn't feel alone."
"That's because I never left your side," Lufulu whispered, closing his eyes for a moment to bask in this feeling.
"Never once... in this life and our last one, I wanted nothing more than to be yours."
