It is a hit and miss kind of thing for Zal. When she was in Naranja Academy, it was difficult to make friends because of her traumas and difficulties in foster care. As time went on and she grew in spaces of people her own age, it got a lot easier. Now it is all more difficult because the woman doesn't speak Kalosian, but she knows when the effort is worth it versus not.

He has already. More than once. And he would keep doing it, because there is no such thing as a harmless threat. All threats need to be dealt with swiftly, before they become promises.

For Corbeau it is not a question of if -- he will. If you are considered a loved one, somehow managed to worm your way into the questionable place that is his heart you are his to protect. He has watched many men and women fail to protect loved ones in the past because they were too weak hearted to truly get their hands dirty and wind up losing those loved ones. And sometimes to terrible fates.

He does not want to experience such a level of loss...it is unacceptable to him.

Is this extreme? Most definitely. But that is his brand of protection. He would rather you hate him, than be dead.
