There's a special place in my heart for him 'cause he was the first route my friend began playing with me to get me into the game.

Like, I get no joy from cooking or baking myself, but I love listening to people and characters ramble about dishes they're proud of.

My hyperfixation is hearing about other people's hyperfixations and the way they resemble sunflowers turning toward a light source!

what kind of holiday feast would luka (ikerev) cook for his partner?

Oh, this was such a cute ask! Luka is so adorable. I haven’t had much experience writing for him, but I hope I did his character justice! Also hope that you enjoy this, my lovely 😊

Luka is almost always the one doing the cooking for the Black Army and everyone raves about how yummy his food is. For the big occasions like Christmas though, he really pulls out all the stops. It’s also one of his favourite times to be the Black Army’s cook, mostly because it’s one of the few times of year when the others jump in to help him cook. While Luka does most of the cooking, it’s tradition that everyone in the Black Army must contribute to the dinner in some way. People will be in and out of the kitchen, or will bring him treats from their homes or the local shops, to include on the holiday table.

Luka loves it, especially since Sirius is one of the main ones to step into the kitchen to help him out. In fact, Sirius is in there almost the whole time. Luka loves spending time with the person he considers to be his ‘true big brother’ and for most years, it’s one of his favourite parts of the holiday.

That was, it was his favourite part of the holidays until he got together with his partner. Luka’s kind of a romantic, someone who really cherishes their partner and he gets excited just to spend time with them, no matter how long they’ve been together.

In a way, Luka will feel a little guilty around Christmas because he really wants to spend a lot of time with his partner. He has these cute dreams of really soft, picture perfect, family style romantic Christmas moments with his partner and he really does try to make the holidays with his partner really special. But he does have his duties to the Black Army, plus complicated family relationships that become harder around Christmas.

One of those duties is making the Christmas feast for the Black Army. He wants to share a special Christmas meal with his partner, both making it together and eating and enjoying it. But he is part of the Black Army, he has and still wants to be a part of the big Christmas feast that they all have together, and he wants his partner in the kitchen with him, helping prepare and then taking part in that feast. It’s what feels the most like family to him during that time.

If his partner is happy to be there for the Black Army’s Christmas supper, he’s going to be thrilled. However, he’ll still feel guilty, worried that his partner feels like they came in second place or that Luka doesn’t care as much about them. The very thought of having his partner feel that way makes Luka sick to his stomach and keeps him awake at nights, even more so than normal.

He goes out of his way to do something special for his partner, something to show them how much spending Christmas together means to him though. He does it on Christmas Eve, so that they’re not so sick of the rich food from the big Christmas Day feast, and he plans out and meticulously prepares a Christmas Eve luncheon for the two of them. He’s made notes about their favourite recipes all year long and he either makes those recipes or finds festive and holiday themed variations on those. He makes hot cocktails, some mulled wine or hot buttered rum, and, if his partner has the sweet tooth he lacks, he makes a mean peppermint cheesecake.
