Vertex Capital Systems (VCS) is a prestigious financial institution that has been pivotal in managing the economy of The Station since its inception. Renowned for its comprehensive handling of credits, tokens, and financial transactions, making it a cornerstone of The Station’s economy.
Lukas was always grateful to have an older brother destined to shoulder the burden of their family's legacy. He much preferred spending the Lunar Credits such a legacy brought them. Growing up, he was known as the careless Ranström, or, as he liked to say, the fun one. But eventually such a reputation grows old and Lukas fell in line, less to appease his parents and more to support his brother as power transitioned to Olaf.
He's become Director of Media and Outreach at VCS, responsible for the company's image. Lukas is close to Olaf, and he cares about Agneta, especially with how things have changed over the years, but he's content to live his life as he's been doing, without a family of his own. It's easier this way, he thinks, the burden of others causing him to blanche more often than not. He'll help you out if you need, but Lukas much prefers a fast paced, easy life.
But even if he says he doesn't prefer responsibility, he still managed to win a seat on the Council two years ago. His presence has been light but since Julian Verner's death, he realizes that living fast has it's limits, and while he knows how deep corruption runs on Olympia, particularly through his family's company, he's never given it much thought. He's never had a need to. But it's clear that Jules was onto something that could upend the balance of things on Olympia, and, perhaps, he wasn't the only one.

WORK CONNECTIONS – Maybe people who he knows are finessing the system at work (taking more pay etc), but he's held onto this information to use over them later
COUNCIL RIVAL – Lukas is probably annoying like sometimes voting to stir up trouble and sometimes voting to make things easier for his family. It's hard to see where his real beliefs are and that probably frustrates some members who think it's clear he's the "personality hire" of the council.
LUKAS ÅSTRÖM, who strongly resembles BILL SKARSGARD, has been spotted in Pandæmonium. The CISMALE is a TWENTY-SEVEN/ONE HUNDRED year old ALIEN-HUMAN HYBRID, and has in Pandæmonium for DECADES. I hear they’re BRILLIANT & ADAPTABLE and CYNICAL & EASILY BORED. If you’re lucky you may catch them working at HOME as a SCIENTIST.
