E-and'a - Pogo Big (or pogo home)

Been listening to this album (off and on along with the new Mike Marshall with Turtle Island & the new Nickel Creek) for the last month +/- and I am still not over how great it is. Just saw Courtney Hartman play a couple of sets with Della Mae this past weekend at Old Settler's Music Festival in Texas and I am head over heals for this album all over again!! Soooo jealous of all you North Eastern string enthusiasts who get to see these guys more than once or twice a year!! :-)

Here's your first view of fiddler Darol Anger's new project E-and'a (as in the way they counted the music - a little looser than 1-e-and-a). The David Grisman Quintet co-founder, creator of the Republic of Strings, and Berklee professor releases the collective's self-titled new record this March on Adventure Music.

We love the Bluegrass Situation and we LOVE Darol Anger! So great to hear some more cutting edge bluegrass/old-time from him. Such a great band too. Darol, Joe Walsh, Courtney Hartman, Lukas Pool, and Sharon Gilchrist. Check out this video of Pogo Big (or Pogo Home.)
