PSA
Okay there is something that has been on my mind for a while and I need to address it about this fandom and the community and I'll try to keep it short as best as I can.
First of all, everyone is allowed to set down and enforce their own rules, their own limits, their own comfort zone. Full stop. Not debatable. You set down what you write on your blog, who you interact with and what you're comfortable with and if you're not comfortable with certain things, that's fine buddy, you do you.
But people need to remember that this is fiction. Those characters don't exist. They can't be hurt. They can't be harmed. They can't be traumatized. Stop projecting your own issues onto others. Stop enforcing your own comfort zone onto others. Stop trying to control and censor in this place of creativity. You are not allowed to censor art. And writing is just as much art as painting is. This is a place where people write things to cope, to explore, to practice or just to write because it is their hobby and they are allowed to.
Art has no limits. That is why trigger warnings were created, so those who want to avoid certain things, can do so safely. Art was created to express something. To break rules. Do you think Van Gogh created paint using his own god damn blood because everything was sunshine lolipops and rainbows in his head?
Stephen King is no abuser, mass murderer, predator, terrorist, whatever, you name it, just because he's written such things in his books. In fiction. Because that is what writing is for. What art is for. To express things you normally wouldn't. No one has accused him of enabling abusers, of practicing child abuse, of manslaughter, of sexual harassment or there like.
Long story short:
Please block me if you support cancel culture. Simple as that.
This is my blog. I will write with who I please, I will write the characters I want to explore, I will write what I want with who I want to write it. And if I want to write my teenager character to jerk off because of raging hormones then I will do so.
And regarding BNHA: Those characters are literal teenagers. Teenagers are as a fact a walking bonfires of hormones and it's only natural for them to explore their sexuality with themselves and each other. Everyone who believes those are chaste angels is cruely mistaken. Not to mention that it's even expressed in canon with both Mineta and Kaminari that they are horny on main. I can promise you, they are not the only ones. Unless you are ace, suppressing your sexual development is unhealthy. Just because some parts of the world think that kids only start to think about sex the moment they turn 18 does not mean it’s true, it is delusional. Speaking from a solely scientific point of view here.
