After an almost lunch with Crystal, Vivian was a little shook up. She had never seen Crystal so defensive over anything. Vivian left the restaurant shortly after Crystal’s outburst. She sat in her car and let out a deep breath. Was she overreacting? Was there more to Ashton’s affiliations than meets the eye? Vivian shook her head and drove to work, going inside. “You’re here early. I thought you were getting lunch with Crystal today?” Kylie commented.
“Yeah, Crystal and I kinda had a fight. I didn’t stay and eat.” Vivian sighed, sitting at the break table.
“I’ve got some leftover casserole, if you’re hungry.” Angie piped in.
“No, I’m okay. I had a big breakfast anyways.” Vivian sighed.
“What was your fight about?” Kylie asked.
“Ashton, mostly. She wants me to give him another chance and to think about why I changed my mind about him.” Vivian shrugged.
“I think you should give him another chance. He never did anything to make you think he was dangerous while you were with him, I doubt he’d do anything if you knew.” Angie said. “He’s a classic bad boy. Just your type.”
“Yeah, but the bad boys I’m into don’t sell drugs or guns.” Vivian rolled her eyes. “I just won’t be able to look at him the same now.”
“But, he gave you the best dick of your life. You can’t let that slip away.” Kylie joked.
“Oh, my God, Kylie.” Vivian groaned and put her head in her hands. “You’re the worst.” Kylie laughed and put her bag in her locker.
“You can’t deny he was the best. You told us on multiple occasions.” Angie added.
“I’m done talking to you guys.” Vivian shook her head and stood up.
“Hey, don’t forget about your reports tonight. You’ve been putting them off and April’s getting on our asses about it. You have to finish them tonight.” Kylie reminded her.
“Yeah, I’ll get them done.” Vivian sighed and walked out of the break room.
When Vivian says she’ll do something, she does it. She did end up finishing her reports, but she finished at 2:45am. She walked out to her car and slid into her seat, throwing her purse in the passenger seat. She pulled out of the parking lot and drove toward Lake Street. She looked at her dashboard as the check engine light flashed. She shook her head and continued driving, the light illuminating her steering wheel. She groaned as her engine rumbled. “Why? Why is it always here and why is it always at this fucking time?” She pulled her car over to the curb and turned it off. She thought about calling Ashton, but she knew she shouldn’t. She leaned over and dug through her purse, looking for her phone. “Come on, I know you’re in here.” She pulled out her wallet and charger, setting them aside to clear a space to look for her phone. She had just found her phone when her car door was pulled open and she was being pulled out onto the street. “What are you doing?!” Vivian screamed, thrashing her legs. “Who are you?! Let go of me!”
“Keep her quiet!” Nicolav yelled. “Get her in the van and shut her up!”
“Help!” Vivian screamed, her throat drying immediately. “Someone help me!” She cried out, trying to squirm out of the grip of the men dragging her. She kept screaming until her throat was raw. The men picked her up and threw her into the van, her back hitting the other side of the van. She whimpered at the pain and tried to kick the men that came in.
“Sit still!” Nicolav yelled, sending his palm against her cheek. Vivian whimpered and looked up at him.
“Who are you? What do you want from me?” She asked.
“I want you to fucking cooperate.” Nicolav rolled his eyes. “Alexei, get her tied up.”
“No, please, let me go.” Vivian sniffled, looking up at Alexei as he grabbed her wrists.
“No can do.” He smirked, duct taping her wrists together.
“Get her ankles, too. We don’t want her kicking her way out of this.” Nicolav said, climbing into the van next to Vivian. Alexei nodded and taped Vivian’s ankles
“Tell me what you want.” Vivian begged. “I have money, I-I have assets.”
“We don’t want your fucking money, bitch.” Nicolav rolled his eyes and allowed the back of his hand to connect with her cheek. She let out a scream and turned away from him. “We want to know what your little FBI friends know about us.”
“What?” Vivian turned back to him. “I don’t even know who you are, I can’t tell you what the FBI know about you.”
“Are you sassing me?” Nicolav growled, gripping her jaw tightly.
“No.” Vivian whimpered, trying to turn away from him.
“We know who you are, Vivian. What does your father know about the gangs in this area?” Nicolav asked, keeping her jaw in his grasp.
“I-I don’t know.. I-I don’t talk to him about his work.” Vivian looked at Nicolav. “Who are you?”
“Who I am is not important. What do you know about the gangs here? What’s your boyfriend told you about us?” Nicolav asked, finally letting go of her jaw.
“Nothing. I didn’t even know he was in a gang.” Vivian shook her head. “I swear, I don’t know anything. I haven’t talked to Ashton in a month and a half.”
“You expect me to believe that?” Nicolav laughed darkly. “You really think I’m that stupid? I know your piece of shit boyfriend better than you do, I know he’s still got eyes on you.”
“He doesn’t. I swear.” Vivian begged, tears slipping down her cheeks.
“Andre, we’re not going to the stock house, we’re going Victorian.” Nicolav said.
“Victorian? What are we doing? Killing her?” Andre asked, turning the van around.
“If that’s what it comes to.” Nicolav smirked, covering Vivian’s mouth with a strip of tape.
