before i doze off to sleep, i just wanna point out the bad/wrinkled pants parallel of luke danes in gilmore girls season five (when he attended emily and richard's wedding renewal) and lenny bruce in the marvelous mrs maisel season four (when he stayed over at midge's). both men out in their elements and in with a crowd they're not so used to be involved with.
how did people watch the season 5 finale of gilmore girls? like i can imagine the speculation at the time. how will luke react to this? will he say yes? what if he says no?
cause right now i'm fucking freaking out oh my god
luke buying a casette and books about love oh god 😭
luke just made a huppah for lorelai... LORELAI LEAVE MAX MARRY LUKE RN
153 Shades has been updated! Go read and let me know what you think!
Logan spoils Rory the way a father spoils his little girl, giving everything he has and sometimes even irresponsibly.
She never had that growing up. She never had anyone to turn into when she’s mad at her mom. Lorelai was the only stable caregiver she had.
Although she’s a grown up now, and she knows she has to mature. I don’t think she could ever totally fill that void from childhood; it’s too big and intense.
So whenever she’s vulnerable, she’ll go back to Logan again and again only to get that nurturance and safety; then go back to the adult world and leave him again and again.
Kinda like the way Lorelai and Christopher get together every time they fight with their parents. Luke is the right one but he’ll never have the history and understanding those two have with each other.
