Ever since you first joined the rebels and helped destroy the first Death Star, Luke and you have been nearly inseparable. Almost from the very first moment you met you knew that you would spend a long time together. And yet, even though you have indeed spent a lot of time together, something seems odd to you right now. He has been behaving differently lately. Especially around you.
Yesterday, for example, whenever your eyes met in all the chaos at the rebel base, he smiled at you and could not seem to tear his eyes away from you, because you were always the one to look away first. It has been a long time since you have seen him smile as often as yesterday, and although you are obviously glad that your best friend is happy, it still strikes you as odd.
Or two rotations ago when you were writing your mission report, accidentally fell asleep in the lounge from exhaustion, and finally woke up with a blanket covering your body. Luke was sitting next to you, finishing your report and when you tried to stop him, he only denied you with a loving smile on his face.
"Luke, is something going on?", you straight out ask him now, unable to stand the way he behaves around you any longer. However, he just dismisses your question with a slight shake of his head and a soft smile, before placing his hand on the small of your back to gently guide you towards the briefing room, where a few rebels have already gathered.
Not at all satisfied with his answer, you allow him to guide you to a seat, sitting down side by side while waiting for a general to step forward and deliver their briefing in front of everyone. Meanwhile, you bounce your leg up and down, looking around and greeting other pilots, admirals and generals you are familiar with. It is only when you feel warmth on top of your thigh that you stop and turn to see that Luke placed his hand on your leg, deep in conversation with Wedge while doing so.
You stare at his hand spread across your leg for maybe a second too long and a strange feeling arises inside of you that you quickly shake off as soon as the general begins to speak and all eyes and ears are on him.
As you try to focus on the briefing, you can barely ignore Luke's hand burning through the fabric of your pants and when you look at Luke from the side, admiring his beautiful profile, he notices it immediately, a smile twitching at the corners of his lips before gifting you a wink and turning his gaze back to the front. Heat rises in your cheeks and you lean back a little further in your seat, trying to hide it.
Since when is he acting like this and, even more importantly, since when does it have this effect on you?
Once the meeting is over, you stand up, Luke's hand finally disconnecting from your body. Before you can leave the room, however, you are stopped by General Madine.
"Y/N, right? I heard about your remarkable deeds on your last mission", he says with an encouraging nod. "And I would like to have you as the leader on this mission."
"I-It would be my honor, General", you immediately state, not quite knowing what is happening. Luke, still standing next to you, puts his arm around you as soon as the general leaves and gives your shoulder a tight squeeze before placing a kiss on the side of your head and ruffling your hair playfully.
"I knew you had it in you! Would you look at that, huh? A leader", Luke beams at you and your heartbeat accelerates. "I feel honored to even breathe the same air as you."
Shoving him to the side, you laugh with him, your heart somehow feeling full. Fixing your hair that he so ungracefully disheveled, you leave the room and walk towards the hangar, closely next to each other.
You stop at his X-Wing and you sit on one of the boxes that are stacked there while Luke watches you closely. Although there is commotion around you, other members of the Alliance walking around, going after their day, it feels like it is just the two of you the moment your eyes meet.
It feels the exact same way as when you first met, and yet this time it seems even more intense. The connection you felt back then stronger than ever.
Luke does not take his eyes off you, not even when he gets closer and suddenly is standing so close in front of you that you could rest your chin on his head, being taller than him as you sit on the boxes. With his right hand, Luke brushes a strand of hair out of your face, lightly touching your cheek when tugging it behind your ear before pulling away with a smile, leaving your personal bubble.
"Luke, what is going on?!", you jump up in fury all of a sudden, catching Luke - and also yourself - off guard. "You are driving me crazy! Why are you behaving like this?"
"Like what?", he asks in surprise, not being able to place your reaction.
"You always smile at me like that! And you- You do all these little things and gestures like casually touching me or hugging me and-"
"I'm sorry, I did not mean to make you uncomfortable.. That was not-"
"Just tell me why! Why are you behaving like this so I can understand why I feel the way I feel when you do it", you confess, your heartbeat drumming in your ears as you look in his eyes, trying to find your answer there.
There must be a good reason for all of this.
"Isn't it obvious? I like you, Y/N. A lot, actually", Luke replies, averting his gaze for the first time as he puts a hand on his neck, almost shy. "But I did not change my behaviour. I have always been like this with you, it just seems like you are only now noticing it. Every small gesture, every touch was only ever reserved for you. Because you are the only one for me and have been for a long time."
“Only you would be working on your birthday,” you teased as you walked through the doorway of Luke’s office, his head popping up from the sound of your voice as a smile grew across his distressed face. “Why do you do this to yourself?”
The CEO just shrugged as he flipped through some paperwork, his baby blues quickly darting between his computer and the files a few times before they landed back on you. “I wanted to get all of my work done early so I could have an extra long weekend with you.”
“But it’s your birthday,” you pressed on, walking over to his side of the desk before you sat horizontally on his lap.
A deep sigh fell from your boyfriend’s lips, his ice-cold eyes softening when he finally looked away from his computer and saw your attempt at a sad pout. “I don’t need to do anything big for my birthday.”
“What, so this morning wasn’t big for you?”
Luke cracked a smile from the memory as his head leaned back into his chair, his hands falling on your waist as he shook his head. “Babe.”
You smiled softly at him before turning to retrieve your bag as Luke intently watched your every move. “I got something for you,” you spoke up, biting down on your lip in an attempt not to laugh as you pulled out a tacky birthday hat and a kazoo.
“No,” the CEO immediately protested, but the grin on his face told you that he found it just as amusing as you did. “My workers can’t see me like this,” Luke laughed when you finally got the string around his chin, the hat already messing up his perfected hair as you failed to hold back your laughter.
“Happy birthday,” you told him for the hundredth time that day, pressing your lips against his before pulling away and softly kissing his neck, Luke’s breath shortening as he caved into your touch. “I haven’t even given you your best birthday present yet.”
Luke’s eyebrows rose as a smirk played across his lips, his thumb gently caressing your cheek as you closed the space between you two again. You broke away to motion for Luke’s receptionist to come in with a giant box, the CEO’s face instantly fading into a deep shade of red as he gripped his birthday hat and tore it off.
“Open it,” you told him once the obnoxiously-wrapped present was on his lap instead of you, Luke’s baby blues skeptical as he tore away the bright green wrapping paper.
“Holy shit,” Luke gasped once he was holding an electric guitar signed by the original members of Green Day, his eyes wide in shock as he looked up at you. “How the hell did you get this?!”
“I pulled a few strings,” you responded with a nudge, laughing at Luke’s unamused expression before he cracked a smile in defeat at your terrible joke.
The CEO stood up from his chair to wrap his arms tightly around you, his muscles challenging the expensive material of his suit as he picked you up and spun you around. “Thank you.”
“Still not the best present that I have for you, though,” you whispered, your lips teasingly brushing against his ear lobe as your arms slowly wrapped around his neck. Luke hummed in response before his lips were magnetically attached to yours, his hands roaming your body before he starting leaving kisses down your neck.
“I’ll just finish my work in the morning,” Luke muttered as he lifted you onto his desk, his lips busy showing you how much he loved you as you giggled at his sudden change of plans.
You were confused when Luke pulled away and stared at you intently, a shade of blue swimming around his eyes that you weren’t familiar with. “What?” you breathed out, your chest still heavily rising and falling from the tension of his body pressed tightly against yours.
Luke just shrugged as he reached out for his birthday hat, placing it on top of his head and striking a pose, the gesture making you laugh as Luke couldn’t find the strength to wipe the grin off of his face. “I’m just in love with you.”
“Are you okay?” Luke laughed as you tilted your head to the side, your desperate attempts to get the water out of your right ear continuing to fail as you shot your boyfriend a look.
“It won’t come out,” you whined, burying your head in the crook of Luke’s neck as you felt his chest vibrate from laughter.
“You got a little sun,” he commented as he ran his hands over your bright-red shoulders, your sunburn stinging as you smacked him on the arm, causing Luke to squeal out a giggle before pulling you back against his chest.
“At least my face doesn’t look like a tomato,” you shot back, giggling at how quickly he feigned offense before he cracked a smile. “I’m sure the office will have a field day with that.”
Luke hummed in response as he tucked a strand of loose hair behind your ear, his baby blues icing over as a smirk played across his pink lips. “They wouldn’t put their jobs on the line like that.”
You raised your eyebrows before a laugh elicited from your mouth, not even slightly surprised by his response as you wrapped your arms around his neck. Luke offered you a soft smile before his lips kissed the top of your head, his thumb slowly caressing the bottom of your thigh as you both waited for the fireworks to start.
“There it is!!” you nearly shouted, pointing to the sky as a faint glimmer of light shot through the darkness. The CEO squinted his eyes as he tried to see what you were talking about, giving you a confused look before a loud boom erupted in the air, the sudden noise scaring the life out of Luke as he nearly jumped.
“Holy shit,” he breathed out, the both of you cracking up as you buried your face into his chest. “Babe, look- there’s more!”
You couldn’t help but grin at the ecstatic look on his face before you reverted your attention back to the fireworks, the vibrant colors captivating you as you felt Luke’s arm wrap around your waist. His thumb kept gently tapping against your skin, the gesture eventually causing you to look up at him to find him already smiling at you, his dimples highlighted by the glow of the fireworks as you smiled back at him. “What?”
The CEO just shrugged before pulling you onto his lap. “’m just thinking.”
Your teeth sunk into your bottom lip as you studied your boyfriend, finding the blonde-haired boy a lot more interesting than the fireworks setting off behind you. “What’s on your mind, Hemmings?” Luke’s baby blues stared at you intently before he leaned in and pressed his lips against yours, the taste of alcohol present as he deepened the kiss and cupped your cheek with his right hand. “Luke.”
“I’m just in love with you,” he whispered, his thumb slowly tracing over the curve of your cheekbone before he kissed you again. “For the longest time, I never felt like anyone here actually cared about me. Everyone hung around me for my money or my status, and it made me doubt if I made the right decision moving to America,” he confessed, his eyes gentle as something unfamiliar to you swam around in the depth of their blue. “But then I met you.”
“Maybe I would’ve ended up in Australia,” you joked, a light laugh falling from Luke’s lips as he looked at you adoringly. “But I’m glad that you’re here.”
“Happy Fourth of July, baby,” Luke said under his breath, his lips brushing against yours until they were inseparable, his hands slowly roaming your body as you let him know how much he meant to you. “Those fireworks are nothing compared to what I feel for you.”
“Okay, that was just cheesy as fuck,” you called him out, the both of you laughing as Luke just shrugged and kissed your forehead.
“What did Snoop Dogg say before he lit off the fireworks?”
You sighed when you saw the grin already growing across his face. “What?”
“Pop it like it’s hot,” Luke continued. You tried your best not to laugh, but you couldn’t help it when the supposedly cold and mean CEO was practically shitting his pants at a bad joke he probably found on the internet.
“You’re ridiculous,” you told Luke as you rolled your eyes, quickly reciprocating his smile before bringing his lips to yours, “but that’s what I love about you.”
“I can’t believe that you’ve never dyed Easter eggs before,” you teased as you watched your grumpy boyfriend take a seat at the table, rolling up the sleeves of his white dress shirt as he watched you slide a carton of boiled eggs towards him.
“We were more of an egg hunt type of family,” Luke shrugged while grabbing an egg and cautiously placing it into a glass of red dye. “My older brothers used to lock me in the bathroom so I wouldn’t find the egg with a hundred dollars inside of it before they did.”
“Well, now you have millions more than them,” you joked, causing Luke to smirk at you before he shook his head.
“Don’t bring it up to them tomorrow,” the CEO muttered out, his concentration now shifted to the egg that was halfway dipped into the blue dye. He smiled when he saw your impressed expression, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively at you before explaining himself. “One of my employees showed me their kids’ Easter eggs. I just wanted to try it out.”
You held up your hands in fake surrender while cracking a smile. “Go fucking crazy, Hemmings.”
A heartwarming laugh fell from the CEO’s pink lips, his eyes scrunched up at the sides as he checked the progress of his tie-dyed egg. “You know, allowing your consumers to personalize their products can be very beneficial for a company’s long-term growth. When M&M’s launched their campaign for personalized-” You cut him off by placing your finger over his lips and giving him a look, your boyfriend smiling before leaning away and dipping the other half of his egg in another color. “Sorry.”
You just shook your head and laughed before grabbing a pair of bunny ears and holding them behind your back. “It’s fine,” you quietly responded, pretending to take interest in Luke’s creative process as you crept up behind him and leaned over his shoulders. You slid the festive ears onto his head before running back to your seat, Luke’s shocked expression causing you to giggle as he grabbed his new set of ears and gasped at you.
“How dare you!”
“I think you look cute,” you shrugged, pulling out your phone to take a picture of your brooding boyfriend.
Luke just hummed in response as he walked over to you and picked you up out of your seat just to place you back on his lap, his hot breath lingering on your skin as his lips slowly dragged across your neck. “I’m not cute,” he breathed out before his lips attached to your skin, sucking harshly on your sweet spot as your head fell back to give him more access. “I’m the fucking boss, babe. Put the bunny ears on. I’ll meet you upstairs in three minutes.”
“Holy fucking shit!” Luke screamed when he raced back downstairs, his face lit up with joy when he realized that he’d left all of his eggs in the dye the whole time. You laughed as you swept your sweaty hair to one side, your arms folded over your chest to make up for the absence of Luke’s warmth as your boyfriend skidded across the kitchen floor to check out the colors that the eggs had turned over time. “Do you fucking see this?! Look how red this egg is!”
“Very pretty,” you complimented while pulling out a few bowls from the cupboards. “Are you ready for some deviled eggs?”
“What?” the CEO gasped out, his face appalled as you bit down on your tongue to hold back your laughter. “I just spent all of this time crafting these beautiful eggs to perfection, and you’re just going to destroy them?!”
“Fine,” you sighed, putting the bowls away as you pretended to be defeated. “We’ll just let the Easter bunny have them all.”
Luke’s eyes rolled into the back of his head at your comment before his smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, a smirk soon playing across his lips as he moved towards you and pulled you into his chest. “Hey,” he breathed out as his fingers slowly traced down your back, his baby blues clouded over with lust as he intently watched you wrap your arms around his neck. Luke’s tongue teasingly ran over his lips before he leaned forward to kiss you, his tongue moving at an excruciatingly slow pace against yours as he squeezed your hips. You were completely out of breath when he pulled away before you saw a goofy smile appear on his face, your eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as Luke tapped his ring-clad fingers against your hips. “There’s nobunny I’d rather spend Easter with.”
“Uncle Luke! Why don’t you have your Mickey ears on?!”
“I’ll put them on later,” the CEO responded with a soft smile, his niece’s pouted lips causing him to laugh as he leaned forward in his chair. “I’ll buy you a churro later, as long as you don’t tell your dad.”
The little girl gave her uncle a firm nod before she ran away to join in on her family’s embarrassing dancing at the wedding ceremony, the Disney ballroom decorated to the nines as the CEO reached out for his glass of white wine.
“Bribing a little girl with churros?” you laughed as you sat down at the table, checking your overdone name tag before giving the stranger a sheepish smile. “Sorry, I just noticed that I was supposed to be sitting at this table instead of the other one I was at.”
Luke just nodded as his baby blues intensely studied your features, a warm shade of red rising to his cheeks when he realized that he’d just been staring at you the whole time. “I’m Luke,” he abruptly introduced himself, sticking out his hand for you to shake as he involuntarily tugged his lip ring between his teeth.
“So you’re the famous CEO that Ben always talks about,” you replied as you checked out his obviously-expensive suit, his broad shoulders seeming to challenge the material of his jacket as he stretched his arms behind his back. “Are you as much of a Disney fan as your brother?”
The CEO scoffed playfully at your question, his signature confidence quickly washing back over him as he straightened out his posture and glared at you. “No.”
“Why not?” you teased as you leaned forward a little, Luke's baby blues watching you intently as he held his glass of wine up to his lips. “You’d look cute with Mickey ears on.”
Luke raised his eyebrows in mock amusement before grabbing the Mickey hat from the table, his piercing blue eyes not breaking away from your gaze as he placed the festive hat on top of his carefully-constructed quiff. “Happy?”
“Very,” you giggled at the sight of one of the world’s most successful businessmen sporting a pair of Mickey ears, Luke’s laugh soon following yours as he shook his head in disbelief.
“My niece is gonna be thrilled to see this.”
Your teeth sunk into your bottom lip in an attempt to hold back your smile, Luke furrowing his eyebrows at you as you nodded towards the door. “Come on, you need to experience the real magic of Disney.”
“No,” Luke refused as he put his glass of wine down, “I’ve already seen Frozen fifty times.”
You snorted at his comment before Luke rolled his eyes at you, but for some reason he found that he couldn’t help but smile every time that he heard your laugh. “Well, you’ve never been to Disney World with me, and I’m the Disney expert.”
The CEO sighed before a grin was tugging at the corners of his lips, his heart unknowingly beating a little faster in his chest as he watched you slip on your matching Minnie ears. “Fine,” he gave in as he narrowed his eyes at you, “but I’m not going on It’s A Small World three fucking times in a row again.”
The you write a break up album about him and he announces it winning an award sounds amazing please write something for it like that he does and then you guys get back together
Your heart thudded heavily in your chest as you waited for the category you were nominated for to be announced, your knee uncontrollably bouncing up and down as you watched the previous winners shuffle off of the stage.
You weren’t expecting to see your ex-boyfriend walk out next with an envelope in hand, loud screams filling the arena at the sight of 5 Seconds of Summer making their way up to the microphone stand. You felt your heart sink in your chest at the sight of him, his hair messily swept across his forehead and beard unshaven as the first three buttons of his dress shirt were purposely undone.
You were too distracted by Luke to notice that they’d already begun announcing the nominees, the uneasiness of your heart rate soon returning as time seemed to stop around you.
“And the winner for best album of the year is… Y/N!” Luke managed out with a forced smile, the realization of seeing you again for the first time after a year causing a pain to shoot through his chest.
You grinned at the cameras as you made your way up to the stage, a few tears threatening to spill from your eyes as you tried to accept the reality that you just won a Grammy for the album that you poured your heart and soul into. Luke hid behind his band as they all gave you a hug, but you knew it would be bad press if you purposely avoided your former boyfriend, so soon enough you were wrapping your arms around his neck, causing Luke to stand there in shock before he reciprocated the gesture.
It wasn’t until the after party that Luke finally had the courage to congratulate you, a bottle of beer in hand as he approached you with a shy smile. “Congrats on the win.”
You spun around to find the boy who broke your heart standing before you, your jaw dropping in surprise as you suddenly felt the urge to throw up. “Um, thank you.”
“I didn’t know that I hurt you like that,” he bluntly admitted, referring to most of the songs off of your platinum-selling album that he knew were about him. “I’m sorry.”
You pursed your lips as you looked down at the ground, your feet in excruciating pain from your black heels before you met the baby blues that you fell in love with. “I’m sorry too.”
wrapping up famous!y/n blurb night with @thehalcyonclub!
i haven't seen this done yet so how about a blurb where one of the guys (you can pick) is cast as your love interest for a music video :)) -puckerupmikey
You had what seemed like a million people yelling at you as you were rushed to another set for your music video, the jam-packed day resulting in an extremely strict time schedule that didn’t allow for you to even formulate a thought.
“Alright, Y/N, so in this scene, just stare at Luke like you’re in love whatever, and when I scream ‘NOW,’ you just lean in and kiss him,” the director instructed as his hand stayed on the small of your back while guiding you to your spot.
“What? Luke?” you blurted out before you were placed in front of Luke Hemmings, your heart nearly stopping as your jaw dropped in disbelief. “No offense or anything, but why are you here?”
“Our managers thought it would be good publicity,” he nervously laughed in response before fixing his hair. “Love your new album, by the way.”
“Thanks-”
“Alright, and we’re rolling!” the director cut you off as you forced a smile on your face and slung your arms around his neck. Luke’s baby blues watched your every movement as you mouthed the words to your song along with the music, trying your best to distract yourself from how perfect his broad shoulders looked in the black jacket that he was wearing and- “NOW!”
You stood on the balls of your feet so your lips could meet his, Luke instantly deepening the kiss and taking you by surprise as he pulled you flush against his chest. Something warm rose in your chest as you kissed him back with just as much passion, wishfully hoping that he wasn’t acting anymore either.
“And cut!” your director yelled as you pulled away from Luke, something indescribable swimming around in the crystal-blue of his eyes as he ran his tongue over his lips. “Are you two secretly in love or are you both just triple threats as actors on top of your music?”
A shade of red inevitably rose to your cheeks as you looked back up at Luke to find his lip ring tugged between his teeth before he gave you a small smile. “You don’t really have to act when you’re around Y/N.”
famous!y/n blurb night with @thehalcyonclub! send in your requests/ blurbs!
You held a warm cup of coffee up to your lips before taking a long sip, looking around the room and smiling at the perfectly wrapped presents under the Christmas tree that you had convinced Luke to put up in his multi-milliion dollar home. Time seemed to pass by extra slow as you waited for him to wake up; he’d had an extremely stressful week at the office, so you wanted him to get as much well-deserved rest as he could.
Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard the sound of soft footsteps that belonged to your boyfriend, turning around to see the CEO himself rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as his flannel pajamas hung loose around his waist. “Merry Christmas, baby,” he mumbled as he walked towards you, instantly pulling you into his chest as he kissed the top of your head.
“Do you want coffee?” you asked after you kissed the tip of his nose, a smile cracking across Luke’s face as he sleepily nodded. “Then you have to open your first present.”
The CEO’s eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as you bent down to hand him a small box carefully wrapped in penguin-decorated paper before he was ripping it off. “You didn’t,” he laughed as he held Michael Scott’s ‘World’s Best Boss’ mug from The Office. “Baby, I’m not even your boss.”
“Well...” your voiced drifted off as you flirtatiously winked at him, causing a lighthearted laugh to fall from Luke’s lips as he shook his head and gently nudged you.
“I love it. Thank you,” he responded as he pulled you in for a kiss, his lips warm against yours as you wrapped your arms around his neck to bring him closer. “Are we still going over your parents’ later?” You nodded into his chest, not wanting to break away from his warmth as he hummed. “I saved my best suit for the occasion.”
“Well, actually...” you started as you bit your lip at your now-curious boyfriend. “One of your presents from me may be more appropriate Christmas attire.”
Luke groaned knowing that it was the ugly Christmas sweater you had laughed at for five minutes just a few days ago in the store. “Maybe it’ll look better with a cashmere suit jacket, yeah?”
You playfully rolled your eyes at him before sitting down in front of the Christmas tree, finding a huge present with your name messily written in blue sharpie as Luke smiled adoringly at you. He simply nodded at you before you ripped off several layers of wrapping paper to reveal a box full of various items, ranging from a DVD of the first movie you watched together to the pair of heels you gasped at when you saw them in the window display at the mall.
“You kept this?” you somehow managed out as tears threatened to spill from your eyes, the black pen you’d lent him the first day of business school turning around in your hands before you noticed a book full of the letters you two wrote to each other in class. “Oh my god,” you laughed as you read through the ridiculous letters, finding the one where he asked you out on a date with a poorly drawn picture of two people eating dinner together.
“Yeah,” he breathed out as he tried not to get emotional from your reaction. “Is it, um, okay if I write one last note?” Luke’s voice was fragile as he reached out for the pen, you slowly handing it to him as your heart stopped in your chest. The CEO’s hands were slightly shaking as he moved the ink across the last sheet of paper in the book, staring at his work before his baby blues met yours. You’d never seen that kind of vulnerability in Luke’s eyes before- he was always confident and sure of himself, but you could sense some sort of fear flash across his pupils as he flipped over the book to reveal the last page to you.
“Will you marry me?” you read out loud before your mind processed the words, your mouth falling open as you re-read the note over again. Your heart started slamming against your chest right as a tear raced down your cheek, the most genuine smile appearing on your face before you answered his proposition. “Yes,” you whispered, the air still right before the biggest grin grew across Luke’s face, your body lunging forward to wrap yourself around him and press your lips to his. “Yes, yes, yes- a million times yes.”
“I love you,” Luke let out with a breathy laugh, his arms holding you as close to him as possible as he kissed you with every ounce of passion he had within him. “Oh, yeah, the ring,” he chuckled as he pulled out a small box from the drawer of the nearby coffee table before sliding the multi-diamond piece of jewelry onto your finger.
“It’s beautiful,” you beamed as you held out your hand in front of you to get a better look.
“I think it’s appropriate for, ‘Just in case you forgot, I’m engaged to a Fortune 500 CEO,’ don’t you think?”
You rolled your eyes before grabbing his face and pressing your lips to his, your heart full of love as he rubbed small circles into your hips and kissed you back with just as much compassion. “Come on,” you whispered once you pulled away, neither of you able to wipe the smiles off your faces as you ran your hand through his messy hair. “Let’s get you in that Christmas sweater.”
