Luke Riley takes UD over Michael Aswell
A much better look at Luke Riley the prospect thanks to a spirited effort from an out gunned Michael Aswell.
Riley has a lot of good traits. Fast, powerful, explosive and has a very snappy left hook. Will jab the body. Doesn't shy away from exchanges and will stay in range if it means he can counter. But he's also a sitting duck in the pocket. Does not move his head or frame or anything to defend himself. That's part of the reason Aswell was able to out land him, even if it wasn't with the same powerful shots that Riley was landing. Again, props to Aswell. I don't think his game is any less well formed than Riley, he's just seriously outgunned athletically. Every shot Riley landed, you could see how badly it effected Aswell. Meanwhile Riley ate Aswell's shots pretty damn well after the first few exchanges, when he settled into the fight.
