When: Sometime before Nick leaves

Where: Luke's tent

What: Nick decides to leave Luke with one last temptation as a test before he leaves the camp to make sure Charlie is in capable hands.

He was almost done packing when he noticed he still had the small bag of heroin he stole from Fairground. He'd been planning to sneak it into Luke's tent so he could relapse and get Fair almost kicked out of camp. As both revenge for Luke and a warning to Fair. He chuckled at the thought of how stupid that plan had been. It probably would have started an unnecessary war with Fair and all because he thought she was just a nosy little bitch. Now she was just a nosy little bored housewife. At least she was successfully in love. It was more than he could say.

He had a thought about what he could do with the heroin and he set off to Luke's tent. He wasn't going to keep it and he definitely wasn't going to return it to Fair, so the next best thing was to test Luke. Make sure he was leaving Charlie in capable hands and that this stupid drug addiction wasn't going to ever be a problem again. He wanted to make sure Luke had learned his lesson. He called for the man as he reached the tent. He looked around to make sure no one else was around. Especially Shane. He couldn't let Shane know that he was leaving. He knew he'd try to stop him and somehow convince him to. He couldn't risk that.

Where: The forest

What: Luke and Nicky go hunting and shit.

He didn’t know what kind of game Luke was playing. Were they just going to go hunting? Or was he going to get a stern talking to from the father figure of his girlfriend? Girlfriend. He never imagined he’d ever be calling Charlie that in a million years. Going from envying her to liking her, maybe even loving her, was strange. He was starting to waver off his course. He’d stayed for revenge and now he was going off on a completely different path. He didn’t know if he liked it but if there was something certain it was that Luke really fucking annoyed him.

Nicky got up early. It was still dark out and he didn’t know what time it was but he couldn’t go back to sleep. He grabbed his cigarettes and had a smoke. He really needed to get off those things. It would be so much worse when his cigarette supply ran out because he’d have the craving. No, he couldn’t say he’d ever been an addict to hard drugs like Luke was, but he was still an addict of sorts. And it was a weakness he didn’t want. He threw his cigarette away before he could finish it and went back inside his tent to make sure he had everything ready.

He didn’t really like guns but he knew how to use them, and he’d stolen a few from some gun stores he’d broken into over the months. He still had plenty of ammo since he used only to hunt, preferring to kill zombies with Angel. He was planning to take her too in case this hunting excursion took a bad turn. As soon as he was ready, he noticed the sun was coming up. He grabbed his stuff and walked over to Luke’s tent nodding to him when he saw him. He really didn’t have much to say to him. He feared if he did say something they’d start to argue.
