Hello. I have a question about Switzerland's human name. Why are you calling him Vash? His name is Bash - swiss (!) short form of Sebastian (well it must be Baschi, but it's Hima's mistake). Why Vash? Can you, please, prove me that name Vash REALLY exist, not french vache or whatever, but real name. bc i can prove to you enough historical (and modern) Baschi, but i don't know any Vash.
I’m sorry. The names I have were taken from early translations of the character profiles. I was in a hurry to copy things over and didn’t realize I had the outdated name, though it is listed as “Basch“ on this page. I will update it on the new character profile page. I’ll double check the others, as I think a few others need to be updated as well.
There’s really nothing to prove. Unfortunately it’s a mystery where Himaruya got some of the names he used early on, like the Italy brothers having a Spanish surname, and there’s no known name of Lovino. I recall Hungary’s name is another one that is inaccurate, and I’m 100% sure there are others, I just don’t remember them all off the top of my head.
