Thanks for the questions! Quick note: I generally don't do these (TMI Tuesday questions, not questions in general) because I don't want to take away from a work week, but I'm currently on spring break. Therefore, any questions asked before I wake up on Wednesday will be answered. After that, you'll have to wait until the summer! Anyway, here goes...
2) If you could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be?
Honestly, I don't feel like meeting people who aren't going to be regular parts of my life lately. Just at a point in my life. I don't know. I still like random encounters. I used to put so much energy into being nice to strangers, though. Anyway. I'll just go with Philip Roth (I feel like he'd be more communicative than J.M. Coetzee) and maybe Charlie Kaufman.
11) Do you have any strange phobias?
My irrational fear feels pretty rational, so I'm not sure if it's strange. However, I have a fear of centipedes that is intense enough I'd call it a mild phobia. The more I type, the more I suspect I will find one in my...I don't even want to say. Sometimes I sit in the middle of the library during meetings so I'm as far away as possible from the stacks, where've they've been known to hide. If someone mentions seeing one, I will bolt. At the same time, I have killed several small ones, so I'm not totally paralyzed by it.
18) Do you believe in karma?
Kind of. I don't think it's easy to see, but I do think putting negativity into the world often brings negativity back to an individual. And vice versa. So yeah, kind of.
(Sorry I didn't get to these sooner after they were asked.)
