This is @lukehillestad stunning interpretation of a female ‘Mer’. Mer people are human-like beings who exist in or close to water. Actually, mermaids and mer folk are not necessarily the same, yet, the difference is not widely known. They exist in folklore and mythology all over the world and within different cultures. The painter’s style embraces the content in a wonderful way as we remember such technique and appearance from many of the old masters.
