Where Cabbage Patch Dolls Are Born: BabyLand General Hospital

This month, I went to Cleveland, Georgia to visit the BabyLand General Hospital. This is basically a glorified gift shop for Cabbage Patch Dolls. When I was driving up, I was shocked at the SIZE of the place, it looks like it is in a giant plantation! I didn’t know it would be like this.  Basically, you first go in and look at the “adoption” rooms, which are rooms that looks like hospital wings and have the Cabbage Patch Dolls inside for you to “adopt.” Then you enter in a LARGE gift shop, which has many different types of toys and baby carriages with the cabbage dolls inside.  The main attractions is the Cabbage Patch, which you see the baby Cabbage Patch doll heads sprouting from the ground. Some heads move which is really freaky. Next to this giant cabbage patch mystical tree, is a Nursery with “recent births” with Cabbage Patch Dolls inside and a giant stork. Sometimes a nurse is inside this room, pretending to care for the Cabbage Patch Dolls.
