One second he was hurtling through the air, the next, there was nothing but blackness. He awoke and his senses returned to him, though he was in someone’s arms. He looked up, and saw the familiar ‘face’.

“Owl Girl. What are you doing here? This foe is beyond your capabilities -- you saw what it did to me.”

Knocking the Revenant around wasn’t exactly a hard task, nearly any superhuman could do it, if he was caught off-guard. But this one’s punch had knocked him clean out for half a second. Half a second too long. He hated to say it, but he was genuinely worried for this strange woman.

oh, abso-fucking-lutely. rory’s a big fan of any movie you can kind of talk over and riff on. they find it physically difficult not to talk over movies a lot of the time unless they’re super zeroed in on it and focused, and people tend to get frustrated with them talking over their fav serious films, but shitty b-list movies? are a gift from heaven itself. rory lives for watching shitty movies and not feeling self-conscious for pointing absurd shit out during it.

“Well, I’ll be damned if that isn’t the strangest thing I’ve seen all day.” He shouldn’t be talking about her as though she wasn’t there -- she was right there, within earshot. The Revenant just couldn’t help himself. The juxtaposition of the two was also comical - her, with her bright yellow cheery outfit, and him, with his dark mechanical armour.
