Yesterday I was minding my own business when my phone alerted me that Lana had retwitted something that she “LOVE!”, so I checked it and what did I found? My fanart! And it was a glorious half second that my head went: “YEY! So much joy! Aweso... wait, WHAT? those aren’t the original colors... it’s all pixelated, OMG it’s cropped. I didn’t send it to Lana at all.” I was very sad and it got even worse. People started warnig me that my art is being reposted without my name on instagram, or like there was someone that actually took the time to erase my name, change the colors and added some preseted doodle on it.

Guys. Guuuuys, look at my face. I spent HOURS, DAYS working on that fanart for the Evil Regals in Spain to give it to Lana. I tweeted it to her lots of times so I could have her feedback. And now some random person crops my name, adds some instagram effect, repost it and gets not only lots of feedback but also Lana’s RT. I don’t care if the person found it on instagram like that or whatever, it’s still wrong. You are depriving the artists freelance opportunities and feedback from our work that helps us to know what people thinks about it. At least we deserve getting acknowledged for our work.
Please STOP reposting art. It doesn’t matter if you found a cute fanart on some website, if you want to share it with other people or share it so your idol can see it, you should first find the artist and ask for permission. Nowadays is easy to make a little reasearch and find the artist. Give credit to artists by adding the link in the description. We oncers are a big family and we must support each other.
Plus I have a lot of cute OUAT fanart to show you and now I’m rethinking things. :(
