Lumber Mills, 1929
Log dump, lumber mill, Enumclaw, 1972.
Oregon & Northwestern Railroad Locomotive #1400 at the Hines Lumber mill in Hines Oregon. Circa 1949
In 1926 Alco Richmond built two identical 2-8-2 mikados for the Longview, Portland & Northern (c/n 66919-66920, road numbers 1400-1401). LP&N used these primarily to haul log trains on its Ryderwood to Longview (Washington) mainline.
On 2/23/1945 the LP&N sold the #1400 for $29,205 to the Oregon & Northwestern Railroad (O&NW) where it worked until scrapped in 1957.

Endgate Village — Craftsman Buildings
Near the center of town is a Blacksmith (where all the town’s weapon smiths work) and two more mirror-image buildings on either side of the Ironwood Tree. To the left is the Stone Yard, where all the towns masons work. To the right is the Lumber Mill, where I decided to put all the tool smiths.
Don’t ask why a farmer is working at a smithing table. They just do that idk how to make them stop.
