he was a fraction of a second too late. terra had initially left for radiant garden on master xehanort’s suggestion, searching for that boy in the mask -- vanitas. he was the one responsible for spreading unversed across all the worlds; his ill intent and incredible powers were a dangerous combination. terra had vowed to put an end to the chaos he was fueling. however... a surprise attack lead to him being surrounded by the monsters, and with each he took down, another sprang in it’s place. they just kept coming. exhausted and worn down from the fight he’d just had with braig, he was getting sloppy. as he lunged forward, he took down one... two... three... and in the wake of a rather wide swing, he hadn’t realized one had crept up from behind. there was no time to defend himself. this could be bad —
and then in a flash, a familiar keyblade sliced through the air. ven. back to back, they stood at the ready. fighting alongside a friend was always preferable, and with the both of them, it was a much simpler task to dispose of the lingering enemies. as they struck down the last few, terra sighed in relief. ❛ thanks. ❜ he managed to breathe out, slightly bent at the hip as he struggled to calm his racing heart. ❛ you always show up right on time. ❜ a light smile graced his lips, and he nodded at ven’s subsequent words.
