                   the chill in the air called for a decent coat. the brittle leaves finally making the decent to rest against the ground and leave a chorus of crisp crunches beneath everyone’s feet. it left a genuine smile on his features to watch the honey blonde walk lightly a few inches before him, his own long strides cut back to a slow pace so that she may be ahead. fondness glimmers in his gaze as he watches her, a warmth in his chest potentially capable of fighting away any chill the world could give him as he is caught in her gaze. full lips moving but he hasn’t caught what she said, dark eyes blink before brows raise and his voice wavers slightly. “ w-what? sorry i didn’t hear you “ a sheepish smile is given at his admittance, well its only half a truth anyway wasn’t like he could confess to gazing at her like a goof.

         teddy’s cries still echoed in tonks’ ears , though the baby’s eyes were now closed , a peaceful expression on the infant’s tiny face. it felt like days since the last time the metamorphmagus had slept , longer still since they’d felt at peace. PEACE. that’s what this was supposed to be , right ? the war was over , the good guys had won , but at what cost ? every new day they were met the notion that this would be another day of teddy’s life that remus would never get to see. and teddy !! stumbling out of the makeshift nursery , tears began to form in tonks’ eyes. none of this was right -- none of this was how it was supposed to feel !! they barely made it to the couch before crumbling , head in their hands as long , half muffled sobs erupted from the witch so used to bringing vibrant color wherever they went.

       "But Mum!! I'll take really good care of it and everything, honest" Carina pouted. Her arms fold over her chest as the glum ten year struggles to both keep up and fall a way behind her Mother. Grey eyes keep glancing over her shoulder enraptured with the Barn owl in the window. "I could use him to write letters to you and Dad, lots of 'em!" Carina insists, jogging then sprinting to cut in front of Marlene McKinnon and walk backwards, her smile excited now. How could her Mother say no to that idea? "And he could eat the rats in the garden and, and oh! please Mum I always wanted a pet!"

          it felt like it had been years since fleur had seen her little sister. gabrielle was the absolute light of her life and someone she adored without any question. leaving her behind in france had been the sole heartbreak of moving to england. in all truth, it had almost stopped her from taking the job at gringotts altogether. despite all of the owls and gifts sent between them, fleur felt positively giddy at the prospect of being able to see how much gabrielle had grown, to hear about her time at beauxbatons, to find out what was truly going on in her life. so as her eyes set upon the unmistakable silvery hair, fleur had to bite back an overwhelming rush of emotion stinging at her eyes. ❝ ma chouchoutte! ❞ she called, beckoning the other’s attention as a wide grin fell over her features and her feet moves absent of her brain to carry her towards gabrielle. ❝ i have missed you so much, ❞ fleur finally whispered as she pulled gabrielle in, wrapping her arms around the other in a protective and possessive manner. truthfully, she had no idea how she was going to be able to let go and let gabrielle travel home after her visit was over.
