(Author’s note: There was this pic on Pinterest where Megatron, when he was still a miner, finds a coffin with a humanoid inside (could have been a human), and it gave me an idea. Don’t know how to find the picture or the artist. This is kinda set in the IDW.)
Warnings: mentions of being lost to history, the idw settings, Megatron's uprising, some violence, and you being a very terrifying fairy.
-What if... Cybertronians in the past had their own versions of fairies/familiars in the shape of these tiny people? They could create bonds with their bots and harness spiritual powers (like that one anime where a person turns into a weapon). And maybe at some point in time, they became extinct or got lost in history.
-They look a lot like humans, though taller, and their bodies are adorned with markings that can glow. Some parts of their physiology are metallic, as they are born on Cybertron. Their abilities may differ depending on the bots they bond with or the environments where they originate. They can also consume energon for sustenance and manipulate its energy outside its crystalline form to enhance or fuel their abilities.
-The knowledge about their abilities would be lost to time, but some say they could enter their bots’ spark and conjure weapons for their bots.
-They’re kinda like fairies of Cybertron.
-I decided to go with the name Luminari for these tiny fairy-like creatures.
-The idea I had was that Megatron, when he was still a miner, found a coffin in one of the mines (maybe a miniature stasis pod). After opening the coffin, he finds a tiny luminari--- you--- sleeping inside. After he opened the coffin, you woke up and locked eyes with him, creating a bond.
-I'm not entirely sure yet how the bond could be formed, so I decided to go with locking eyes for it to happen. In one other picture I saw was the tiny humanoid kiss Megatron, which I thought was funny (But I leave that up to your imagination).
-Megatron would not be certain what to do with you, as he has never seen a creature like you before. He gives me the impression that he didn’t think much of organics when he was a miner, so he might not react negatively. But knowing his superiors would probably hurt you or take you away, Megatron would try to keep you hidden to keep you safe.
-Maybe becoming attached to you in a way before all the violence.
-He would likely try to get you to the surface and make you leave, but for some reason, you returned and tried to stick by his side. He gave up after the fifth time.
-He was probably not used to someone listening to him so attentively, or being so determined to stay by his side.
- There was a bit of a language barrier between you, as you likely spoke ancient Cybertronian, so you only understood a few words from each other at first. He would try to teach you modern Cybertronian, which was a slow progress, but he was patient since you seemed to learn quickly.
-The mystery of what you were would remain unknown to him, but he eventually discovered that you possessed some kind of power—one that allowed you to manipulate energon and harness its energy. He learned this when, after he was injured due to a mining accident, you took hold of an energon crystal, placing your small hands on it and on him. The markings on your skin glowed as the crystal dissolved, and his injuries began to heal on their own.
-He would be surprised, but not ungrateful. You must be some kind of outlier to possess an ability like this.
-You would then start acting as a healer at his mine. As long as you had energon crystals at your disposal, you could heal him and other miners from injuries. Megatron was careful about taking energon crystals as he did not want his superiors to get suspicious. His miner comrades did not mind keeping you a secret as well, unlike their superiors; you were genuinely helpful to them.
-Then, unfortunately, you were discovered and caught by one of his superiors. Megatron would be pretty helpless as you were taken away to either be disposed of or become an experiment. Perhaps that would be a starting point for his growing anger against the higher class and the system.
-And after the whole fiasco with the senator, killing a guard, and finding his way to the gladiator’s area, Megatron came to accept that you were gone for good. At one point, he felt agitated and lost. He felt your distressed emotions before they disappeared completely. He felt regretful for a time for not being able to protect you, but learned to accept that you were likely dead.
-But then, one day, something broke into his designated room. He first thought it was some kind of rodent, but then saw something shiny cut through the wall, and you coming through the hole you just created.
-He was definitely surprised, but also somewhat relieved. He had expected you to be gone for good, yet here you were—having escaped and come to find him. You had even adapted to modern Cybertronian, explaining everything that had happened and lightly scolding him for being difficult to track down.
-Perhaps this time, you would be able to tell him about you being a Luminari and his bonded familiar.
-He would definitely put effort into keeping you a secret this time, though you managed to stay hidden and move around without being noticed just fine. He would only introduce you to people he trusted.
-During his uprising, you would act as his shadow. Keeping your eyes and ears open to things that might go unnoticed by him.
-During one battle, when he was at a disadvantage, you suddenly ran up to him and slapped your hand against his chest. A radiant glow enveloped you as you vanished into his spark. Megatron felt your presence within him, but after his quick confusion, he would notice his wounds instantly healed and a fusion cannon materializing on his arm, which granted him tremendous firepower.
-First time it would cause you to be pretty exhausted as it used a lot of energy, but the more time you did it, the less energy it took. Thought you needed an energon snack to keep yourself energized. While you could be his small spy, you could also act as his weapon.
-And one time, when Megatron got too injured or exhausted to fight, you would suddenly pop out of him. I like to think the Luminaris are capable of downloading their bots’ combat abilities, and the bots could share their physical strength with them. Then Megatron would watch as you decimated his remaining opponents, phase-shifting through their bodies, overcircuiting them, possessing them to fight each other, or using his shared strength to rip them into pieces.
-Then you would just walk back to him, covered in his enemy’s energon, and heal him up while scolding him about picking his fights more wisely.
-You kept bringing surprises, but Megatron wasn't displeased by them. And his followers would learn not to underestimate you or get on your bad side, because now they knew you could destroy them if you wanted, especially when you too were protective of your bot.
Lumine is so precious to me, I enjoy her ships a lot even tho I have my favorite of them all, I like exploring others.
His relationship with Lumine is ahh so sweet, saving her protecting her calling her dumb😂 imo lumi tends to be more reckless than aether so having someone stern by her side its what she needs🥺 Tighnari on the other hand can be a little too sarcastic which lumi can go toe to toe with ahaha. Idk they are so cute!!
The forest watcher blurted out without so much thinking twice the moment his eyes fell on to the unconscious traveler on the ground.
"What do you mean a fairy?!" The floating girl exclaimed as she stomps her foot in the air.
"That's Lumi! And right now she's unconscious!"
"Well, I can see that." Tighnari deadpans before kneeling down to check the traveler's pulse, ignoring the flying companion's indignant squawks.
He examines the rest of her figure, silently noting down his observations all while trying to push away his growing curiosity. Golden hair framing her delicate features and a white dress of unfamiliar design. Not to mention, the unknown flower that lay atop the side of her hair. The more he looks at her, the more questions piled up in his mind until he heard a familiar voice snapping him back to his senses.
"Master Tighnari, will she be okay?" Collei peeked from his back.
He gently moves his arms to carry the unconscious traveler, the scent of wildflowers and berries greeting his senses while he adjusts his hold on her a few more times until he deemed it safe to stand back up.
"Not to worry, this is a normal reaction to anyone who hasn't been exposed to (insert mysterious gas). Some quiet rest and medicine will help, although I still have to brew the medicine back in the village. So it would be best to take you both there right now." He explains to the three figures who nodded in agreement.
"Are you sure she's going to be okay? How long will the medicine take? There aren't going to be any side effects right?" The pixie inquired, throwing one question after another as they slowly made their way back to the village.
"I can guarantee you she'll be fine, unless of course she ate a suspicious looking mushroom on your way here." Tighnari answered, holding back his exasperated sigh while Collei throws an amused look in their direction.
"I don't think we did? We saw some starshrooms and that was it but we never ate some! Not even a nibble!"
"Then she'll be alright."
"How can you be so sure? Shouldn't we check again?"
Whether it was her voice, incessant questions or the lack of trust in his words, Tighnari wasn't even sure which one was the cause of the headache slowly forming in his mind. There was also the possibility of it being all three.
"Listen,"
"Paimon."
"Right, Paimon. I can assure you that Miss Lumi here will have a safe recovery once she's had enough rest and takes the medicine I'll give her. Now if you don't quit yapping, I might feed you to the Tigers."
"Yes sir."
She resembled a delicate flower. One he hasn't seen before in his life. Tighnari steals another glance at the young girl in his arms, porcelain skin adorned by her soft features as golden locks cascaded around rosy cheeks. The forest watcher was never the type to use subjective descriptions, it was unclear and inconsistent yet it didn't mean he was against it either. He merely uses them when the situation calls for it. And right now, he couldn't help but think that this might be one of them. He gently tucks a lock of her hair behind the girl's ear, ears flicking in quiet interest as the words that have been constantly dancing at the tip of his tongue finally falls in a voice only he could hear.
