Some progress on Teclis. Also started on the base. Waiting for some water medium to arrive. C&C welcome!
Working on oldhammer Teclis, just for fun.
Hello everyone, I was thinking about the Lumineth Realm-lords recently and began to consider what other, highly chimeric creatures the Lumineth might ride into battle. I wanted to attempt something that captured the old Chrace battle lions whilst still remaining distinctly Lumineth in design and came upon the prehistoric scimitar-toothed cats, which possessed these really long, stiff legs that gave them this gracile, almost equine quality. Combining this idea with elements from lynxes and other wild felids, I have hopefully come up with something that looks as if it fits seamlessly within the current Lumineth range whilst still preserving a sense of uniqueness. My only real concern is that it perhaps feels a little too mundane compared to some of the other, fantastical creatures currently associated with the Realm-lords. #warhammer #ageofsigmar #aos #luminethrealmlords #creaturedesign #fantasy #fantasycreature #fantasywarrior #aelf https://www.instagram.com/p/CS1iD5TiZ6p/?utm_medium=tumblr
Minus the grass tufts ill be using, I think this will be the basing scheme I'm sticking with for my lumineth. It's nice being able to print your own stuff :) - - - #AgeOfSigmar #commissionpainter #fantasyminiatures #hobby #luminethrealmlords #miniaturepainting #paintingminiatures #tabletopgaming #wargaming (at Prudhoe) https://www.instagram.com/p/COkM2k-HStx/?igshid=1l0tceqdfm5pt
Hello everyone, after a quick deviation to explore some ideas regarding the Flesh-Eater Courts, I have returned to some more Lumineth-themed ruminations. Specifically, I have been interested in seeing if I could redesign the Alarith Stoneguard to male those helmets feel less awkward without loosing the basic elements you see in the original model. Part of the problem, i think, with the current stoneguard helmet is that the bull's head and the wearer's face compete for attention, giving the head an cluttered and unbalanced feel. To try and remedy this, I looked at a number of costumes, particularly those used in various folk festivals, that have a 'false face' for inspiration as to how the bull's head could be made a more prominent feature of the helmet but which also feels more naturally integrated with the the rest of the model. With this in mind, I came up with this cowl that connects to the bull's head and cascades from it, enveloping most of the helmet but leaving the face open. My hope is that this use of cascading material will help to draw more attention to the bull's head without obscuring the character's face entirely. I also feel that the cowl hemps to give the sense that the bull's head is more thoroughly supported and a more natural 'head' of the model, drawing the viewer's eye upwards towards that rather impressive feature of the model. These are just some very rough sketches to articulate the concept, but I would be very interested to know what people think and if they have any ideas they would like to contribute. #warhammer #ageofsigmar #aos #luminethrealmlords #alarithstoneguard #fantasy #fantasywarrior #fantasyarmour #fantasyarmour #elf #aelf #characterdesign #conceptart https://www.instagram.com/p/CLWNx8PFmmQ/?igshid=14fmee5x5qzr2
