anyway, if I’m being honest right now I could have sworn I wrote something on Grover for you before but I can’t find it for the life of me so I gueSS WE’RE GOING FOR TRY NUMBER TWO. ME LIKE HELLO GROVER SORRY I CANT FIND THAT OTHER STUFF I WROTE ??? RIP.

cracks knuckles so I have said it in previous asks I’m not digging up right now that Grover is Percy’s first friend? and not only that but Percy later finds out that Grover initially befriended him cause he had to not cause he wanted to. amazing for someone’s self esteem ( actually it’s interesting because this is sorta brought up in book one but otherwise glossed over ). but that’s basically entirely besides the point because they do become literal, actual friends and Grover is someone who means the world to him ??? ya. like look at all the shit these two have done together. thEY’VE GROWN TOGETHER AND FOUGHT TOGETHER AND HAVE MADE IT SO FAR !!! which makes it even worse in a way that Grover was almost left behind in the series. when it comes down to it — which I guess this is what this ask wants — to Percy, Grover is someone who he’d rather not live without having around. I get so, so tired of the whole “the seven are best friends thing” ( which high key they need time for that and they didn’t have the time but I’m not getting into that here ) especially due to the fact that, no, Jason is not his best friend ( don’t even get me started ) but that title goes to Grover first and forever foremost and then Annabeth. if you had to ask me people Percy full heartedly trusts, Grover makes it onto that rather slim list — if anyone remembers during the Son of Neptune, Percy actually feels weirded out or whatever over the Romans treatment of the fauns. he couldn’t remember shit but he remembered that fauns ( satyrs ) are much better then that — ya’ll can say he only remembered Annabeth but the kid also remembered Grover and Tyson to an extent. THINK ABOUT THAT !!! in fact I’m basically completely ignoring the empathy link thing rn but ??? they’re pretty much tied together for life, too. literal bro goals ‘cept if one dies the other could die to. whoops.

    the  ladle is half - full.   it leaves the water waning for absolution in whatever form it may be,  even if the absolution is nothing but smoke.  she follows the rivers till she comes across stone,  then from stone she moves forward.  this is a sacred sight filled with sacred belongings.  the land yearns and she gives it her blessing through touch alone.  

     she is not quite lost yet not quite found either.  

     paws pause for another moment longer,  her shoulders square and her tail sinks down low.  what glow bled from this place was not something she was unfamiliar to,  far from it in fact.  there comes a sense of kinship.  a place to rest her head.  the white - wolf loosens up her muscles and settles amongst the long grass.
