蛍光緑の光は、ヒカリゴケ自身が発光しているのではなく、反射によるもの。
薄暗い洞窟の中で生きる彼らは、レンズのような細胞で日光を集めて光合成しているのだそう。

鬼押し出し 群馬 Onioshidashi Gumma Japan 201311
天明3年(1783年)の浅間山噴火によって生まれた、溶岩の芸術とも言われる鬼押出し園へ。 当時大阪に住んでおり、情報もなく軽井沢旅行で偶然見つけたのでここはびっくりです。
洞窟内に極稀に存在し、その中ではエメラルドグリーンに光るという非常に珍しいヒカリゴケです。
