This is the story of why snow doesn't harm the snowdrop.
Many many years ago, nothing had color, the sky wasn't blue, the earth wasn't brown, it was very dull. Until one day, the gods decided to give everything a color. The sun became yellow, the moon became white, space became black, you get the point. But, there was one thing they forgot. They forgot to give the snow a color! (This was partly because snow was on vacation at the time.)
So the snow, still colorless, went to the sun, and asked for a bit of it's color. "But how will people see me without all of my color?" The sun asked. "Now go away before i melt you!" And the snow left, very scared.
So the snow, still colorless, went to the seas, and asked for a bit of their color. "no, because we are with more, and can't share with another!" Came their reply. And the sun left, sad, but understanding why they said no
So the snow, still colorless, went to a lion, and asked for a bit of his color. "why would i give you my color? I would never see it again." Said the lion. "Now leave, before i eat you!" And so the snow ran away, because it did not want to be eaten.
It went to every last thing on earth that it could see. Until finally, they say down, hopeless, and saw a little white flower. "Hello snow." Said the flower. "hello flower" said the snow. "why are you sad" asked the flower. "I want some color for myself, but nobody wants to give me some." Said the flower, now sad. "If you want, you can have some of mine?" Said the flower. "i'm snowdrop, and j would like to share." And the snow said thank you, and left. And since then, the snow is white, and never hurts the snowdrop, because snowdrop gave them their colors.
