Also had someone in a fb parenting group tell me that rescue dogs in general aren’t safe for kids so there’s that.
So dangerous. Big scary floofy old baby who pees herself when she’s scared. Sooooo scary. 🙃

My girl 💕🐻🌲
A Luna blep for your dash.
You know you have a long haired animal when someone suggests you felt their hair after you send a picture of the aftermath of their brushing session… and you Google to see what that involves. 🙈
Not this time. It’s already in the trash. But we’ll see if I do the crazy dog lady thing in the future.
Luna!
She’s so spiritual
Baby’s first professional grooming 😭💕
I adopted Luna in 2017. She’d been dumped on the side of the road with pups, and had severe anxiety about strangers. I had her nails cut once by the vet, and they only got through 2 paws before she froze up, peed and pooped herself, and they gave her back to me with a bottle of sedatives for “next time”. I’ve done all of her grooming since then - baths, brushing, nails, teeth, etc., but I have had a hard time grooming her since getting pregnant, having a csection, and now with a baby that needs my attention. We’ve talked about getting her professionally groomed, but we were pretty nervous. A lady posted in a local group on FB, and said she specializes in fear-free grooming, and anxious dogs. I messaged her, we booked an appointment, and Luna went today… and did AMAZING.
In the past five years, we’ve worked so hard to socialize her, get her used to people, and have given her so much love. I am so so so proud of my girl for letting a stranger wash her, dry her with a blow dryer, trim and file her nails, brush her teeth, and so on. She really is the best girl, and today was a really, really big day for her.
