learning how to draw FairyLights (im new to the ship)
i finished luna IV
6.3 archon quest in a nutshell
varka: "at least in mondstadt, you can cry for help from a clifftop and actually stand a chance of summoning Barbatos himself"
ooh venti really loves his children huh
it's unbelievable how suicidal and self-sacrificing scara is, and i feel like we don't talk about it enough. this is like, at least the 4th time he's done something like this, with the first time being the purification of the furnace in tataratsuna, the second jumping into irminsul, and the third telling the traveler to tell the raiden gokaden descendants about what he did so they can come take revenge
Genshin people, enjoy my Dottore yapfest. Bit of context for it first though, my friend sent this to a Discord server and it got me thinking
I don't think he's quite a psychopath or sociopath, but there is something about human connection that he fundamentally does not understand, and that is his entire fucking problem, which pisses me off (in a good writing way).
He noticed the pattern of Fatui working with the Traveler, saw that it was made out of mutual benefit, and thought he figured it out. But he didn't, because he doesn't seem to understand what makes a connection between people into friendly and not just working together. He genuinely wants to make a connection here, he wants friendship, but he lacks that understanding and so he isn't able to make the Traveler understand his true intentions.
He also doesn't understand the Traveler's true goal within life itself, thinking they would take fake happiness as long as it means no more suffering, when they value the truth higher. Yes, the Traveler would likely appreciate world peace being achieved, but not like that.
He observes, but doesn't understand. It's likely he can't. That is his only fucking problem. We could get a happy ending with the right person in the story figuring this out, but unfortunately the Traveler is too damn close-minded to see it, because they already see him through the lense of being manipulative and evil, and they likely won't see past that. He's fucking doomed and I'm gonna go cry about it
okay so i MIGHT have drawn this knowing dialogue only and turned it a little different to how the scene actually turned out to be but oh well. hoyoverse works fast but i work a little too faster something about scaramouche's character development from who he was, to now, entrusting himself (in the most vulnerable state his body could be in) to albedo and durin. a state he may die in. and these are the only people he trusts to both keep him safe whilst he's like this, but also to be the ones who bring him out of it (im so sad he didnt get to murder dottore with his own hands)
⚠️LUNA IV SPOILERS⚠️
Dottore: I’ve set a new rule for myself. Everyone gets one chance.
Also Dottore: Gives Traveler 264729024728738292 chances to join him
It was killing me that after being stabbed in the back (literally) by them, them getting whisked away by Wanderer, and their friends jumping him, even in the boss fight Dottore’s like
“Alright I took your friends, now join me pls and I’ll free them. No? Imma count to ten then so you can still join me🥺”
This man. I’m going to cook up an analysis very soon
