Thank you to those thoughtful creators who made me who I am today

Eventually I hope to be able to give money to the creators who've been a positive force in my life.

Like fr- people like Sophie from Mars, Jacob Geller, Sam from We're in Hell, Luna Oi, Cheyenne Lin, and Abigail Thorn(philosophy tube) all have made my life better- with their funny and insightful writing, and helped develop my critical thinking and sense of self.

Honestly I don't know what kind of person I'd be today without the positive role models and sources of inspiration they have been.

Of course there are a lot of other positive figures in my life- like nurturing parents and compassionate friends- but as a young trans person, 2nd gen immigrant, who is very into philosophy and leftist political action, I can't think of any better corner of the internet to have grown up on.

If you haven't seen any of their stuff I highly recommend checking out their videos, the quality and nature of the work they produce is truly astounding. And if you are a long time viewer like me, and you have the money- consider giving to their Patreons/funds, they make the majority of their works free for the public, and contributing helps them keep doing that.

Anyway if any of you are reading this thank you from the very bottom of my heart!

I don't get why some people think shoe0nhead is a genuine voice for the left. I mean, of course people are capable of changing and if they do, if they have some left leaning ideas; that is great, that is what we want. But that doesn't make them a voice, a person that we should listen to.

I am just astonished by the fact people like Vaush (and some of their fans) call Luna oi! a "right-winger" and Professor Flowers "genocidal" meanwhile totally accepting shoe0nhead, who still has videos like "Oppression Olympics" in her channel, still monetized (and almost all of the recent comments being anti-feminist) She did a lot of damage being an anti-sjw, I really think we won't be able to un-do the harm done by her any time soon.

Vaush literally said he regrets platforming a Marxist-Leninist like Hakim meanwhile platforming/debating actual fascists! I sometimes do not understand western online left at all.

It seems to me like that are eager to engage with conservative/fascist ideas rather than the ideas which are more left-leaning than theirs. Like how so called progressive white westerners came for Luna oi!'s rice field on twitter (cough cough Dan Arrows) but said absolutely nothing about shoe0nhead's "they are trying to make Kyle Rittenhouse look cringe" tweet.

Why are they treating shoe0nhead with kid gloves? Why are people are saying "this is gatekeeping :((" when some people say shoe isn't really left? Is it because she is a petite white woman who is acting all cutesy? Or is it because online "left" white westerners are just playing liberals who want better healthcare?

I know ✨absolutely no one✨ asked my opinions but I have been thinking this for a long time and just needed to get it out of my system. This is a thing that has bothered me quite much.

When the Portugese rounded the Cape of Good Hope, what they did, they come into an existing network of Arab, Indian, Chinese, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Okinawan, networks, and Portugese decide to take that over by force. They build a series of forts and then they decide to monopolize all that trade for their own benefit. 

And of course later you know Europeans introducing opium, but literally pushing drugs onto the Asian people. This is the history that’s not been taught in our schools. Instead, we’re taught  that Europeans are bringing the lights of civilization to these benighted people all across the world. But it’s quite opposite if you read actual history.

Anyone who is siding with NonCompete against Vaush needs to grow up. I heard good things about him and i think even watched some of his videos (although i don't necessary remember) but his "we can't know if things are good or bad, they haven't happen yet" and his response to a trolley problem being that of a 15 year old makes me ask how did he even get his audience.
