Man, being a left-leaning centrist on YouTube fucking sucks! I was chatting in the comments under a video by CerosTV (one of my favorite political YouTubers), and I had about 3 or 4 Hasan Piker stans jumping down my throat for defending Shoe0nHead.

For the uninitiated, Shoe0nHead is another political YouTuber that I really like, because she’s a left-leaning centrist like me. Anyway, she just recently got into some YouTube drama with Hasan over the new Capcom game, Pragmata, where she basically called out Hasan for shaming male gamers who were inspired by the game’s themes of found family and fatherhood (and yeah, I know that there are weirdos on the far-right who enjoy that game for more…nefarious reasons, but that wasn’t the crux of this particular argument they were having).

And thus, I’ve been accused of being a “far right winger” by these anonymous commenters, because I didn’t want to support Hasan’s bitchy and childish behavior towards Shoe.

Shoe0nhead makes me so annoyed like her whole thing is oh class and wealth discrimination is the only kind of discrimination but she supports trad wives that actively encourage women to sacrifice their financial independence? And doesn’t ever mention or seem to give a single shit that the poor people she claims to care about include women who are driven to prostitution and trapped in abusive situations due to their sex!

And she constantly makes videos about how men are lonely and men are suffering and feminism is bad and leftism is bad because it makes men feel bad :( as if the root of these movements calling out men isn’t just that men, especially white men, have oppressed women for millennia and now can’t handle women not being forced to fuck them for more than a decade or two.

Ultimately her videos are just her pandering to a bunch of deranged right wing males who want to feel validated in their anti social edginess. She doesn’t seem to realise that if she wasn’t pretty and young then her audience would vanish. It’s sad because I think she’s clever and funny, but she can’t see past the swarms of male validation to acknowledge that feminism exists for a reason and she is reaping the benefits of the efforts of all the man haters that came before her.
