one time someone was helping me out by cleaning my place while i was at work, and she texted me saying (quote): “Your cat scared the jesus out of me”. And I was like omg I’m so sorry did she bite you or something?? and she said no, it wasn’t her fault. basically, it happened when she was making my bed, which is always covered in plushies. and whenever there’s a stranger in the house while I’m away my cat goes and hides under the bedsheets until I get back (that’s sometimes how I know maintenance stopped by while I was gone, because I can’t find her until she comes out from under the sheets). and i myself have more than once been unable to spot my cat while she’s settled among my plushies. so imagine this poor woman’s shock when she pulls back the sheets on my bed and one of my plushies seemingly lurches to life and rockets right past her and out of the room at top speed
