He wasn't on his usual spot on the bridge, watching over the Brooklyn newsies jumping into the harbor, but was on a street corner with papes under his arm and an apple in his mouth. He saw a girl looking at him and, taking the apple out of his mouth, shouted over at her. "Want ta buy a pape miss?"
