Who are'ya callin' a loser??
Dash gave a huffy sigh and finally stopped resisting. It was obvious he wouldn’t let her go voluntarily, and there was no way she would get loose before anyone saw her. So, she complied, her lips turned downward in a slight pout.
Blink laughed, noticing her change of expression, and lightly patted her cheek. "Now what's that look for, huh Dashy? Ya not wanting an apple or something?" Spot scoffed, his grip still on her arm-his hand was tight around her upper arm (it was quite loose)-but it was still strong enough to keep her from running away. Smiling, he began to laugh at an idea or thought that he just had.
//ooc: guess who's on okay I don't owe a reply to Crutchie because I looked but if I owe you a reply tell me D://
Dash groaned angrily and kept tugging at her arm. "It's none of your business, Blink!" She said, glaring at him. She knew he had set her up to match with Spot, and she was certainly very angry about it.
"If we don't get ta the nuns now, all the apples will be gone!" Spot protested, his grip still on her arm. And it was true-the nuns always made sure to make candy apples but it all mattered on if you got to them early enough to get one.
Amelia looked at the tickets carefulley. “Dock five,” she answered, and then looked over. “There’s a small gangplank up the side. We can get him up there.”
Spot smiled at Crutchie, hoping to assure him, before saying, "See, Crutchie? We're gonna get ya outta here and get ya better, you'll see." He started to walk, hoping Amelia would to, holding onto Crutchie. Smalls, noticing they were going, began to follow.
"I-I have to get something!" She stammered, dragging her feet to prevent herself from being pulled along by Spot. She would NOT be seen in this stupid angel costume, especially since she ended up sort of matching with Spot. Nope. Nope. NOPE.
"C'mon Dash, don't be difficult. If we wanna get candy apples from da nuns then we need ta go now!" Spot didn't find it difficult to keep moving her forward-regardless of her dragging her feet-especially with Blink on the other side of her.
"What d'ya have ta get, huh? I thought ya couldn't wait for the candy apples!" Blink added, a grin on his face.
Amelia gave him a frightened look, and then tentatively moved towards Crutchie. “What do I do?” she asked primly, scared. “Jus’ lift me up,” Crutchie said weakly, and Amelia did so.
At first Spot struggled with holding Crutchie up-it seemed that Amelia didn't want to touch the bloodied boy-but she'd finally put her waist to his and an arm under his armpit which steadied him. "What's those tickets say? What dock we supposed ta go ta? Ya think we can get 'im there without being questioned?"
"No, wait, I wanna do somefin!" She protested, trying yank her arm out of Spot's grasp. At this rate, she wouldn't get to be a pirate! Stupid Spot.
"C'mon Dashy, we're gonna miss all the fun out there if we don' leave now!" Blink had a grin on his face as he put an arm around Spot's shoulders and Mush's before following some other newsies outside.
"And what d'ya have ta do anyways, Dash? We've got lots planned fer tonight." Spot still had a hold on her and grimaced at Blink's extra arms pushing into his side.
//who do I owe replies to???
“But we only have three tickets,” Amelia pointed out. “He can’t come along with us.” Crutchie looked at Spot painfully. “Looks like I’m goin’ to be a stowaway again, Spot?” He clutched his side again, a shooting pain almost sending him back down to his knees. But he would be alright. He had to hope that he would be.
Spot nodded, holding back the tears. "Yeah, somethin' like that," he mumbled, trying to smile for Crutchy. "Hey, goilie, help me get 'im standing." Spot's shirt was soaked with his fellow newsie's blood, his legs shaking as he tried to help him stand.
Dash groaned in frustration. What’s with all the nicknames he’s giving her? This was stupid, she knew it would be from the start. She figured now would be as good a time as any to go put her pirate stuff on. Finally, a chance to use her fish puns!
“Y’know what?” She said casually, taking a step back. “I’ll be right back.” She started making her way towards the bathroom, her bag hidden behind a potted plant inside.
Spot, an eyebrow raised grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Where d'ya think you're going? Ya can't just leave before the fun starts." Still holding on he pulled her closer and the other newsies formed a circle around her.
"How 'bout we go now? I'm sure there's enough candy apples ta go around out there."
Dash froze when a familiar voice behind her spoke. Damn it, what was Spot doing here? She turned around and nearly jumped when she saw his costume. He was a demon. She was an angel. Blink and Mush had set her up. She was going to kill them!!
She bit her lip, then slowly turned and gave the two boys a venomous glare. They definitely were gonna pay for this. Good thing she brought her pirate attire with her. She turned back to Spot and raised an eyebrow. "So, you're a demon, huh?" Suddenly, she found herself snatching the mask away from him. "Nopenopenopenopenope, I'm not matching with you. Nope."
Instead of Spot's disgruntled face appearing after she took the mask away, his painted-red face smirked back. "'ey, Dashy, why'd ya do that for, give it back." His black-plastered lips were upturned and he held his hand out. "I kinda need that since it's Halloween."
Blink and Mush, unable to contain themselves, burst out laughing-causing the other newsies to join in as well. "Well lookit that, the angel unmasked the demon."
Dash rolled her eyes at Blink. "Hey, be quiet. Why would a spider scare me? Spiders are cool." She shrugged. She wasn't actually lying; she DID think spiders were cool, but she still got nervous around them. Still, they didn't have to know that.
When mush pulled her into the room, she nodded in agreement. The costumes did look really neat.
He waved his actual arms in her face, wiggling his fingers, as the fake limbs danced around him. "I dunno, spiders are pretty scary, right Mush." Blink was squinting his eye and grinning, turning to Mush.
"Yeah, I'd say so. But not as much as a demon or a devil, y'know."
The whole room started to laugh then before finally growing silent as someone walked into the doorway behind Dash. The boy, all in red and in a mask, smirked beneath it before walking up right behind the girl.
"Hey goilie, what'ya supposed ta be, huh?"
Dash scrunched up her nose at Blink's costume. Even though she felt that she already knew the answer, she had to ask. "Why're you being a spider?" She raised an eyebrow. "You trying to scare me or something?"
Raising an eyebrow, he had a cocky look on his face before chuckling. "How did'ya know, Dashy? And better yet, is it working?" The other boys laughed at his joke, the whole room either staring at Dash or Blink. Mush, grinning, grabbed her arm and brought her in the room.
"C'mon Dash, doesn't everyone look great? Even Race does, I think that we guys did his costume pretty good."
2spooky rp with Spot
Dash hated her costume.
It was stupid as stupid could be. (Well, in her opinion anyway.) She wanted to be a pirate, but Blink and Mush had somehow convinced her that being an angel was a good idea. Looking back on it, something about the way they had been acting was really fishy. She should have just worn her pirate costume. Luckily, she did have a way she could alter her costume slightly to make her costume go from angelic angel to pillaging pirate! She had an eyepatch she could put on, and a bandanna too. Her angel costume was just a white, long sleeved dress with a brown corset and her brown boots, and a little halo placed on her head. She just needed to put on the red jacket she had, and BOOM! Pirate! Hehe. She would wear the angel costume for a bit, though, just so she could fool Mush and Blink. (She still didn’t trust them.) She put the extra costume stuff in her sidebag and began to walk to the Manhattan lodging house. She saw some neat looking costumes on the way, but she felt kind of stupid in hers. Stupid stupid stupid. She was glad when she finally arrived at the lodging house. She knocked once and entered, not even bothering to wait for someone to open it for her. Heck, she came here all the time, who even cares?
The Manhattan newsies were all in varying stages of costumes-from just masks to the whole costume- and were chatting gayly about that night's festivities. The ones that were more prominent-in the way that their costumes stuck out-were Jack as a cowboy, David as Sherlock Holmes, Crutchie as a mobster, Les as what looked like to be Spot Conlon, Blink as some kind of insect, Mush as a pirate, and Race as what appeared to be one of Santa's helpers. Poor guy was probably talked into being that from the teasing he was getting before Mush turned to Dash in the doorway.
"'ey Dashy, ya look good. Good choice on da costume!" He had a big grin on his face, below a drawn in mustache, as the other boys turned to look at her as well.
"Hey, isn't-," Jack started to say before Blink jumped up. "Dashy! Guess what I am! I'm a spida'!"
