I can strangely see eren and annie being the cosplay type of couple, like they'd home-make their costumes, go to cons as canon couples from any series, or dress as random characters that make no sense being together but are anyway. Like Waluigi and Jill Valentine lmao
Yessss! They’d make an awesome cosplay couple! :O I feel like Annie would take it seriously and go all out, cosplaying as Jill Valentine, Ms Marvel, Mercy from Overwatch, or Cammy from Street Fighter to name a few!
Whereas Eren… lol he’d be a major goofball but totally have fun with it! I’d reckon he’d cosplay as Waluigi, Darth Vader (or maybe Kylo Ren cuz they’re both edgy, angsty, emo, etc), or Spiderman (because those are always entertaining!)
As a couple, I think it would depend on their mood haha. If they were to take it seriously, I can see them as Black Widow and The Winter Soldier, or even Peter Pan and Wendy. But if they’re just having fun (aka Eren coaxing Annie into more light-hearted ventures) then I can see them as Batman and Robin (with Eren being Robin like you mentioned earlier😂) or Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. Either way, I’m really digging this EreAni Cosplay AU ;) It suits them!
I think being nosy is fine here @lunarcrystals, I don’t mind talking about it. Because I went on a bit of a ramble there, I put it under a cut. Read on for some ereani fic ideas and a bit about AUS.
I didn’t have anything concrete in mind when making that post, I was just vaguely thinking it could be a one-shot. It was just spur of the moment with me wanting something where I didn’t have to worry about stuff I wrote years ago when I still felt I had to give in to the seemingly very common demand for smut in fandom (despite having no real interest in it). It’s complicated and anyway, I digress.
I’ve been playing with the idea of a modern AU for quite some time now which would be focused on the development of the relationship between Eren and Annie of course. But I don’t have many concrete ideas for that yet aside from Annie and Levi being roommates because I do love they idea of Annie and Levi getting along due to their similarities — which is way easier to explore when they aren’t, you know, enemies. I love me some Annie/Eren/Levi, because I’m too weak to not ship my fave characters in supportive relationship dynamics with each other.
There’s another story idea I’m sitting on which is based on canon but diverges from it early on. It would be plot heavy and I have a lot of it planned out aka pretty much the whole damn plot. I do want to write that some day but I haven’t decided on the pacing yet and it does look long. It would be more Annie-centric though I have a lot of ideas for what’s going on with some other characters.
Basically it started out as a “what if Annie was uncovered to be a shifter in Trost instead of Eren and then was forced to work together with the Scouting Legion” scenario and then I just went wild with it. (Can you imagine Eren giving Annie the benefit of the doubt and defending her from the garrison because damn.) I think I’ve made it pretty solid by now and I’m really excited for it (which I’m remembering now that I’m talking about it).
Considering it’s length I’m also a little intimidated by it though. It’s kinda daunting to me to start a story when I know it’s going to be long. With AUS I had basically no idea what I was in for and now look at it almost 4 years later, haha. Still not finished.
Speaking of AUS, I do want to finish that first before I start another multi-chapter for snk and who knows how long that’s gonna take. I mean, I basically gotta wrap up the [Sasuke voice] revolution plot, but who knows how many chapters that means in the end, considering how I keep thinking about character interactions and such I want to explore or scenes. There’s also always the chance that a scene will take longer on paper than I figured it would when I was planning it out in my head.
On top of that an unexpected plot point came up in my planning and I need to figure out how or if I’m gonna include it at all. Cue me screaming, because sometimes I feel like the end is still so far off and then this fic literally becomes an unbearable sight for me.
But me being dramatic aside, it is the final arc so I won’t give up. I want to see this story through even though I’ve accumulated some other projects and ideas I want to work on aside that aren’t snk and time management is hard for me.
I’m glad you’re liking the plot focus in AUS. The other day I was worried about me getting too caught up in plot development and forgetting to include enough ereani content, so it’s good to be reminded that I’m not the only one caring about the plot. I try to give both the ereani relationship and the bigger events the necessary attention and I’m glad if the mix seems to be working for my readers (or at least some).
