“Whoooo’s my favorite little astronaut in the whoooole galaxy???” Jasper’s voice chimed. The man smiling from ear to ear as he lifted AJ up again with his knees and held his tiny gloved hands out as if he were flying.

AJ was probably the cutest kid alive and nobody could tell Jasper otherwise. Honestly it was a shame kidnapping was illegal. Otherwise Jasper would scoop this little booger up right here and now and adopt him as his own.

     “ AJ ! “ loud voice carrying over to her friend, waving her arms from her position up on top of a platform, nearly teetering over to fall face first into the trampoline bellow. (going to a trampoline park was the best idea anybody’d had all week.)         “ check this out ! “ the moment she has his attention she’s turning around, leaning back until she’s falling, pushing herself down faster with the help of the wall. then she’s soaring back up, barely managing to pull herself back onto the platform.              a few brief moments and she’s turning around, arms pumping into the air, and a loud noise of victory escaping her throat.                 “ did you see that ? ! “

“Aw come on AJ, it’s just a little spoonful of medicine. You gotta take it, or how else are you gonna put the beat-down on those sick alien dudes??” Jasper gave the smaller a patient smile, holding the spoonful of cough syrup out sheepishly, as he knelt down to his height.

“Afterwards I’ll give you one of those sweet lemon drops you like so much… Now come on, open up~”

“… I don’t want to leave either little buddy.” With this, Jasper went to kneel down long enough to give the child a big hug, before eventually pulling away to give a sad smile.

“But Mister Campbell is the big boss man around here and- Well, what he says goes… But it’ll be okay.”

With this, Jasper gave his shoulder a small squeeze, before finally letting him go and going to stand again. Sighing as he hoisted his suit case off the ground. 

“You still got two really great camp counselors here though, that do their gosh-darned best to make you kiddos happy…. You’ll be okay.”
