Fuck Butters dude. I agree this wouldn't have happened if it weren't for him

Now that I’m at a computer, I can more eloquently explain what makes it so anger inducing. Warning: Salt induced wall of text.

Eric Cartman, the same one who not only fed a kid his parents but also made Cthulhu his servant, managed to not only fall in love with somebody but it also mellowed him out. At this point, Eric didn’t even care about vengeance anymore. He cared about somebody else more than he cared about anything else, including himself, which only a few years ago was a bigger lie than any he ever told. What would Leo do? Why, convince Eric that his girlfriend doesn’t really care about him, because he became a sexist dick over one girl (totally forgetting about what he did long ago in a similar situation). And turn Cartman basically back into the legendary douche, but not for any practical reason, but because he earnestly thinks that women are bad. It eventually snowballs into Cartman convincing himself that Heidi, who picked him up while he was down, and literally supported everything he did, was manipulative and abusive in an almost self-projecting way. (On another note, I really do think Cartman might have been self-projecting his worries and flaws onto Heidi because his narcissism is back and very hard to fight, he’s had struggles admitting when he’s wrong or his flaws before and his mental image of Heidi has his own voice as if he acknowledges that he should step up how he acts towards her.)

Unfortunately for Leopold, Professor Chaos is going to be my enemy when the Fractured but Whole hits. There’s also Phone Destroyer. And hey, since Cartman’s himself again, Butters probably also signed himself up for more hijinks. And lord knows what would happen if Heidi found out that Leo managed to make Cartman stop loving her. Or Stephen found out that Butters was meddling in others love lives. Or especially if Cartman caught on to Butters’ shit. I might even feel bad for him again.

Now I REALLY know how Stendy fans felt about Token back in Season 7. And unlike that scenario, Heidi’s chances of winning Eric back are smaller than Kenny’s screentime. She got screwed over by the “most innocent” boy for all the love and care she gave “the most evil” boy. Even Liane herself hated Cartman more than Heidi, I’d say. Heidi never had to treat him as less than human for him to actually listen to and respect her. And at least Cartman reverting back then was Liane’s own fault, Heidi did nothing but support him. But now she has to cry alone. It’s not like her friends will care, “that’s what you get for going out with Cartman”, and the guys are too busy circlejerking to care.

If any of you still like/love Butters and shipped/still ship (I mean, hey, never say never and I’ve been here too long to leave now) Heiman, that’s fine. I won’t disrespect you for it. But it would not only take a miracle for Heiman to come back (in canon), but it’d take a lot before I could earnestly like Butters ever again. I think Chef will come back before any of that happens, and that’s literally never happening.

If you had told me, before Season 20 started, that Butters was going to be my least favorite character, I’d have probably rolled my eyes at that idea. But with the knowledge that he’s almost fully responsible for regressing Cartman back to his trite old self again, he’s easily earned that spot.

Neither will I, I agree. If Creek fans lose their otp they'll need all the support they can get just like anyone in that situation. It's just there's no backlash when they get worried over their ship. No one saying shut up it's just a fictional ship. Also I don't know if Butters will be behind this one, he seems to only have it in for the girls and I don't think he's gone after Creek (unless my memory is off)

Yeah. That’s not just Tumblr being Tumblr, Craig and Tweek are significantly more popular than Cartman and Heidi in the core fandom (the general fandom barely cares about the former two). Saying you don’t like Creek or want it to die will get you eaten alive near unanimously whereas Heiman haters can safely attack it since people think differently. Creek’s great, and I’m worried, but just because of the double standard set 

Have you noticed something off about Butters? Does he seem manipulative and good at smooth talking? Unable to admit his own flaws or accept blame? Putting on innocent faces to get away with terrible things (the episode after calling Heidi bitchy, suddenly he wants to be her friend)? That sounds like Old Cartman to me. (That’s another reason why last ep frustrated me, we don’t need two of the same character and until further notice Leo hasn’t changed at all while Cartman did, worse still it makes Professor Chaos pointless) And the OG Cartman was homophobic [see: Big Gay Al’s Big Gay Boat Ride], so Butters (who seems to be turning into Cartman 2) is likely to become homophobic and turn his back on people he used to support (he already did it once). In a way, it’s tragic; people know that Butters is becoming worse because of his shitty life but don’t use it to put Cartman into perspective.

Notice how the fandom is having a meltdown over the idea of Creek breaking up. It's like they've forgotten about the shit they've been throwing at Heiman fans all week for being sad our ship broke up. I guess it's suddenly okay to worry about fictional ships and what not now that yaoi is in the crosshairs.

I wouldn’t say it’s an issue of hypocrisy, insofar as most Creek fans being neutral on Heiman and not particularly caring if there isn’t overlap between Creek and a non-Heiman ship for Eric, let alone Creek fans who don’t think Cartman deserves love at all. 

If worst comes to worst, I will not turn down support from Creek (especially if Butters is involved, which I have a good feeling about). And if that’s not the case then I will just be jealous.

It's pretty cool that Homura has parallels with Darth Vader. But they better keep their Ben Kenobi parallels to themselves when it comes to Mami.
