Keaton really wasn’t sure who exactly this woman presumed to be, but she smelled like a wolf, and he sure hadn’t met her before in his life. If she were a member of his pack, he’d know her scent from miles away. But her scent was one Keaton couldn’t recognize, because he’d clearly never met this wolf before. At the same time, Keaton knew a wolf’s scent when he smelled one, and this woman was most certainly another wolf.
“Well, what do you know!” Keaton barked, tail wagging excitedly as he waltzed over to the silver-haired wolf lady. “I didn’t know there were any wolves in these parts I hadn’t met. You aren’t wandering around without a pack, are you? I know the whole ‘lone wolf’ thing gets thrown around a lot, but really, it’s not true at all, you really should have a pack.”
