"May be I should have bake cake before put on icing?" Volug said, handing the doughy, semi-solid abomination to Raza.
Eyeing the creation strangely, Raza smiled meekly. “Well, you… tried.” Tried to ruin it completely, I guess. With another nervous chuckle, she set the dish aside. Gods knew how that would taste. Normally she wasn’t at all picky with her food, but with it looking like this, she had her reservations.
She was quick to find a positive to the experiment at least. “Well, look on the bright side. At least you didn’t set the kitchen on fire like I did the last time I tried baking something!”

She would’ve thought her comment would make him shake her off. Glad that he didn’t, she chuckled again as she continued scratching his fur. With how nice and soft his fur was, it was easy to feel more relaxed around him. Her movements slowed to a stop as she got settled into cuddling up with him. Before she knew it, she closed her eyes and ended up dozing off while laying on him.
Strange. Raza’s petting had suddenly stopped. He could feel the weight of a person lying on him, but there was no affection to go along with it. Had she fallen asleep? Her breath was slow, and steady, indicating that was the case. Perhaps she’d had a particularly tough day, or hadn’t been getting enough sleep in general. Maybe it would be rude of him to wake her, but his back was not her bed. Grumbling quietly to himself, he gently lowered himself to the ground, leaning over to allow Raza to slowly slide off of his back. He wouldn’t want to hurt her, after all. For good measure, he licked her face a couple times, just to see if that had woken her up or not.
