I really don't give a damn about combating party against party (maturity and actual intelligence helps with that), but when a kid who is literally incapable of financial independence actually owes debt to a school, funded by taxpayers, over lunch - the only meal they will possibly get during the entire day?

Bullshit. WE can afford it. I don't even care that the kid isn't even mine.

Did you know that the Federal U.S. government only contributes about 8% in total to funding public schools in the first place? Now imagine how miniscule that contribution is to meals. Exactly my point.
