hello Queenie, long time no see. For 6 sentence shenanigans, how about your Inquisitor feeling my level of frustration with how big the map is and how much of it is just fetch quests and collecting items in the middle of nowhere 🙏 They've got enough stuff to do!!

It was hard to say whether it was any one thing that did it - perhaps it was the sun relentlessly beating down on them as they tromped across the field, maybe it was the smell of wolf-spit and wet fur still clinging horribly to their clothes, or even still, one might think it was the fact the herbalist had sadly proclaimed (for the third time in a row) that no, sorry, they were just a few blooms of Crystal Grace short for what she needed - but whether it was any of those, a combination therein, or something else entirely, the fact of the matter remained.

The Inquisitor had had enough.

She gave no warning before she stopped, her hands splayed out as though trying to stop some invisible force as she squeezed her eyes shut as tight as they'd go. "This...is...madness," she said slowly, each word delivered like a punch to the gut; it broke the dam, however, and once that happened, there seemed to be no staunching it, her syllables picking up speed with each passing moment, "I am the Herald of Andraste - the Herald of Andraste! - and while I could be...closing rifts, or strategizing against Corypheus's forces, or uniting countries, or...or...overthrowing the entire Orlesian empire should I so choose, I'm out here walking in circles and collecting bear claws because a scrap of paper on the ground told me to?! Where is the sense in that - where is the sense in any of this?!"

Her voice echoed for a moment, the last crack of anger resounding like a lightning strike, but when finally it faded and only her strained breathing could be heard, Vivienne heaved an entirely feigned (but still rather put-upon) sigh and asked, "Darling, if you didn't want to help me find my book, that's truly all you had to say."

What exactly is the dynamic for these little emt boys you keep fawning over? 👁️

@lunchador Oh my god listen, I could literally talk about this all day. I love them. Their dynamic is great. They go from rivals (briefly) to best friends to literally co-parenting Eddie’s child. It’s got some serious “Bubbly Character Brings Out The Silly Happy Side Of More Serious Character” vibes which I always love, and two people who go through some really hard stuff to come out on the other side fiercely devoted to supporting each other. Plus I’m always a sucker for characters who do a really hard job together and get to be there for each other physically in the moment and emotionally after the fact.

Evan “Buck” Buckley is a literal ray of sunshine “loves everyone hard with his whole entire heart” kind of person. He feels his feelings loudly and deeply, and he also has a big problem with his self-worth and feeling like he’s good enough for people and being lonely and wanting very badly to belong. He’s insanely loyal sometimes to a fault and is constantly putting himself in harm’s way so other people don’t have to. He loves useless fun facts and is a big puppy of a firefighter with a bit of a problem with authority, like basically the captain’s adoptive son and everyone’s little brother.

Eddie Diaz is a combat medic who moved to LA with his son Christopher after his marriage falls apart when he comes home from his deployment after a Traumatic Incident that earned him a medal. He becomes a firefighter and joins the same firehouse that Buck works at. He’s a little more Repressed in general and not as free with his emotions because his family instilled a very rigid Suck It Up And Move On mentality on him, and he’s very stuck on doing the Right Thing™️ with his life because of that, even if that means struggling with something that’s not the right thing for him because he thinks it’s good for his son. His biggest motivator is taking care of his son, who is like 10 when he’s introduced and has CP and is the CUTEST CHILD ALIVE, we all love Christopher so much. And Buck immediately bonds with Chris and they become like BFFs and go through their own Traumatic Incident together, and the show ends up establishing a family unit of Buck and Eddie and Chris, which fulfills Eddie’s need for support and partnership and Buck’s need to belong and be irreplaceable to someone. And they balance each other out so well because Eddie reminds Buck constantly that he is more than good enough and his feelings are valid and important, and Buck reminds Eddie he is allowed to have a life where his happiness just as important as his son’s and is always trying to find ways to make things easier and more fun for them. They have such good chemistry, they know each other best out of everyone and can’t hide things from each other, they are always the other’s confidant and get upset when they’re separated, and the way the show is written and the way their relationship has developed makes us all feel very much like them being canon is a possibility. The show is also really LGBTQ+ friendly, wonderfully diverse, and packed full of amazing main and side characters with vibrant stories and character arcs that I just love. And the action and emergencies are all very good. HIGHLY recommend watching it! Season 5 is airing right now and we all have high hopes. 🤡

Marc Spector: 

I am absolutely enticed by the thought of Moon Knight on a rollercoaster. There’s no visible indication that he’s enjoying it - hell, the only thing moving is his cape, but he’s secretly having fun. Got the poker face of the century though. He goes on all the rides and goes :| the whole time. 

Bucky Barnes:

Bucky has fun at the amusement park. He’s had more than his share of drama, he’s allowed to have a little fun. He’s outraged by how goddamn expensive it is, but it’s fun. Look at all these contraptions! He likes the shooting games. 

Clint Barton:

Clint Barton is banned from anything involving hitting targets or getting things inside hoops, holes, whatever you name, the vendor recognizes him on sight and makes him go away. He doesn’t love amusement parks, but his fun comes from the greasy food and dragging his friends onto the scariest rides possible and then watching them panic. (It doesn’t work on Bobbi or Natasha, but sometimes he’ll get Bucky. Kate has the same tactics, so they cancel each other out.) 

Vanya Hargreeves:

(Comics Vanya, although you can imagine Ellen Page if you must.) Someone please put Vanya on a merry-go-round. The girl’s never had any real fun in her life apart from music. I’m imagining Allison dragging her out and Vanya’s not particularly impressed by amusement parks as a whole, but she’s loving that it’s an activity that other people will want to do with her. She deserves it.

Sam Wilson:

Please. Sam has to introduce the concept of amusement parks to half his team. He’s pretty neutral on them - there’s a lot of screaming and the birds are feral, but he prides himself on being a good uncle and if he takes the kids off of his sister’s hands, he’ll take them to the park and load them up on sugar. The same principle applies with half the Avengers, honestly. Most of the high-flying rides aren’t his thing, but he’s a killer at dodgems.

Quick AU challenge: make one (any fandom) based off the last animated movie you watched?

Oh god, um I think it was Balto? So a Balto au for until dawn? Oh lord I don't even know! Ummmm.

All im thinking of is just the animals, so I guess it would be the actual events of ud as they take place, but from the switching povs of the animals. Wolfie's time in the spotlight indeed...

Yeah, just all the animals (squirrels, birds, deer, and wolves) working together to try and keep these idiot teenagers alive till dawn cause they failed so badly with Hannah and Beth.

You are c r u s h i n g these ink drawings. What size are you doing? Is it all just one pen or are you incorporating markers/brush for the blocking? Do you thumbnail sketch beforehand or are you driving straight in with ink?

They’re all made on A5 pages (about 14 cm x 21 cm) in a sketchbook.

I’m using a S (thin) faber castel pen for the details and a large Prockey marker for the black blocks. Most of the criss-crossing lines are made with old, nearly destroyed S pens I’m keeping just for this kind of occasion, lol

I do a rough sketch beforehand on the same page.
