Lunchtime Learning | Meg & Marla

When Margaret had met Marla, it was quite the ordeal. She had been working at the school when Marla’s original caretakers of many years demanded that Meg let them get into the school. Of course, Margaret was certainly prepared to take in the young girl to get her education, but she didn’t much care for those pirates’ gruff manner. Margaret had helped get Marla situated at the orphanage and signed up for the school, and for many years Margaret was the young girl’s music and history teacher.
Now that Marla was getting closer to being an adult, Margaret could see just how far the girl had come from when she first arrived on Leuda. It warmed the elven woman’s heart to see Marla so eager to learn more about life every day. Often times, Margaret would invite Marla over for lunch and to let her play the piano and play with Hunter, and this was one of those times.
“Marla! It’s good to see you. Come on in.” Margaret opened her front door when she’d heard the doorbell ring and greeted Marla. “How’ve you been? You must be getting excited for your birthday coming up, right?”
