I love myself. I enjoy my own company. I trust no one more than I trust myself. I live by my pen/sword and will die by my pen/sword. Then why does it feel so appropriate telling you those three words? Discuss.

What Does It Look Like

to be fully invested into your family, relationships, work, friends, church, art, music, craft, ideas, stories...etc.

A big part of my life had been maintained by my lack of investment and commitment to the important things in life. My Family, My Church, My Music...except... there has never really been a "My".

"My" has everything to do with ownership but I, to be protected from disappointments, hurts, and failures, never truly could say that those things were mine. They were just things that I always flirted with but never asked out.

Friends, Family, Church. The places I was supposed to feel safe and vulnerable has become the very places that terrified me and instead made the presence of strangers feel warmer than a hug from my own brothers.

Generational Curses, Millennial, Your Past, Tumultuous Twenties, Post Grad, ENF'nP. All excuses made to give me an escape from the ever growing anxiety in me that someone might see me in a place of intimacy.

I need to relearn to See the me, He sees so I can be the he that He called me to be.
