Words could not describe the emotions going through Aigis at the moment. Perhaps they could, she briefly considered, though the robot was too new to them to even attempt to form them. 

She was thrown from one cataclysmic event to another and was now in an entirely new environment without a friend in sight.

No, the first person she recognized here was him. Or perhaps it. Fingers clenched so tightly into her palm that she threatened to crack her own chassis if she were any stronger at the moment. 

Aigis wanted so badly to attack Ryoji without a second thought, yet that wasn’t entirely her own will. No, she was her own person now. She would act like it.

“It is... interesting to see you again,” she said, voice betraying her anger. “Why?”

        Renting the skates had been fun, trying to pick up the color at the kiosk, and putting the grey-blue shoes on after some contemplation. Regardless, he had to admit it was a lot easier to enjoy the sight of Fibonacci below when he had nothing to worry.

Expeditions to Tartarus had taken away any possible fear with heights, not that there could have been in the first place — his fear had been less tangible, nearly impossible to discern. Even if he has never voiced it, it remains like a hazy memory, floating through the corners of his mind.

     “Ryoji.” He says, his voice firm but gentle as he nags the other boy spinning near the edge. The guard rails are no problem and Death is graceful; nonetheless, he worries. He has always known how daylight suits Ryoji, how he carries a spring on his steps or how his eyes are gentle like water but under the night, Makoto remembers. He remembers too well. “Ryoji.”

          “-- The moon?“ Edmond was caught off guard by the stranger’s question, snapping out of his own thoughts. Eyes shifted from the water, to the other boy, then to the moon in question. A bright light that only the full moon could provide, one that cuts through the darkness to reflect on the sea itself. How many times had Edmond looked up aboard ships to see such a moon lighting the crew’s way through the night...? Too many times to count, even for a man only nineteen. And yet, despite the familiar appearance... it felt equally foreign to him. A stranger wearing the disguise of an old friend...

          “My, I didn’t even notice that it was time for a full moon already... I’m usually better at keeping up with the phases.” He quietly laughed off his own carelessness, one hand rubbing at the back of his neck out of habit. “Even so... As nice as it looks tonight, I find it hard to look at. It just isn’t the same moon that I’ve looked at countless times before...”

     And perhaps that knowledge frightens him, somewhat.

    she’s worried. this place very clearly wasn’t Iwatodai or any of the nearby cities, she can’t recognize a single thing, the phone on her person was not hers-- none of her friends contact information was stored in the device and there were far too many names. she couldn’t get in contact with them, which unsettled her, because what if something happened to them for her to end up here, alone, with no memory of just how she got here? of course, Minako doesn’t dwell on such possibilities for long. 

       no, she’s sure they’re fine and no doubt trying to figure out where the hell she went. and she has every intention of helping them and the first step to that is figuring out just where she is. surely she’s still somewhere in Japan.   

   and so with the first person she sees, she’s gently touching their shoulder to get their attention, a smile on her features. Minako does not know exactly why, but for some reason, there’s a strange sense of....familiarity.  she chalks it up to him probably being around the same age as her.   “ Excuse me, I’m sorry to disturb you, but do you know what city this is? And...where it is for that matter?“
