Why does he ALWAYS find himself in this sort of predicament ?? His legs burn with fatigue, panting heavily as he runs as FAST as possible away from his pursuer. The first one he met of this kind was different ; hesitant && put off by his willingness to learn about them. But this one ?? Uncaring He wanted to eat but Yamaguchi wasn’t going to let that happen. Not when he’s JUST made a new friend. It’s almost insulting. Just how long was this GHOUL going to allow him to run He’s basically playing with his food.

Yamaguchi’s breathing becomes more labored, more audible as his legs slow ; amplified by his settling panic. Is this REALLY how it’s going to end ?? Finally, his legs give out, tripping over nothing as he skids to a halt. If he survives this, he’s going to feel this tomorrow. His elbow && left hand take the BRUNT of the fall, bruising && bloody from catching himself on the pavement. There’s no STRENGTH left to push himself off the ground Turning to see the approaching ghoul with his wide smile && barred teeth ready to tear into his skin. A rattled sigh escapes him, body trembling as his mind SCREAMS FOR HIM TO MOVE But he can’t.

A fear like this is paralyzing. He can only imagine the pain he’ll experience before being eaten Eyes close in preparation, squeezed tightly as if that would dull the IMMINENT PAIN. Why is he scare this ?? What was so different about that OTHER ghoul ?? Maybe it was the glasses... He scoffs at his own ridiculousness.
