well as a rule i'd first like to say that i generally think tina fey is ok. i like 30 rock & i think for the most part she is funny & has made some good points about women in comedy. also the book is not the most god awful thing i've ever read. it was entertaining & funny &, again, made some good points. i just really hate when ppl worship her as the ultimate feminist because she fucking sucks in a lot of ways. i just feel like she epitomizes this easy-to-swallow brand of feminism that doesn't address any intersectionality issues whatsoever & she is LOADED with internalized misogyny because of her self image issues i guess. but about the book, there are a lot of weird & uncomfortable internally misogynistic, racist, heteronormative, cisnormative things in there (just watch 30 rock & you will get that that tends to be her style). i read it a while ago (few years) so i can't remember all the things i just remember being uncomfortable when i read it. there's a great master post here about problematic shit tina fey does/says so there is probably so bossypants stuff in there. also i found this article too just by googling. but the quote that sticks out in my mind the most as pissing me off is the one below:
